Well Ice, i really like the Choices uv made, had these fights happened i feel Floyd would now be universally recognised as the best fighter of our era without question or doubt as i feel he would have beaten them all bar Tszyu. I think Kostya is a fighter that Mayweather avoided (understandably) and i think Kostya would have had his number.

Well im not sure Mayweather ducked Tszyu but what i am sure of Tszyu was avoided by the big boys and had Mayweather vs Tszyu happened Mayweather would of won UD i know the old saying is that timing beats speed and Tszyu had very good timing but i don't think Mayweather would get caught with anything silly i mean if you look back at his whole career you have to find little clips of Mayweather actually getting hit with a big shot and and only time i can recall Mayweather getting hit with one big shot was with Corley and maybe Judah but thats about it.
Re: Some Fights That Would Of Been Interesting Early In Mayweather's Career
Agreed, but he may have beaten Tszyu if they fought at the time Hatton did. He had suffered injuries, had long lay offs and was tight at the weight but he did not have the bottle to do it.

Thats tru Ice, but i don't think that Tszyu completely relied on the knockout, he was a fabulously well conditioned fighter who could apply that huge power over 12 rounds whilst employing a boxer/puncher style, he didnt need to KO guys. I remember seeing his amateur fights a long time ago and he had unbelievable speed himself, (the power came later.)
Had they have fought i think it would have been a UD up for grabs as Mayweather has an exemplarary chin. It would have been a superfight with either guy wining being ok by me.

Tszyu only struggled with pressure fighters who didn't allow him to get punching room i would give him a shot vs Mayweather based on his timing and power and being dangerous for the full 12 rounds but i still think Mayweather wins UD.

Joel Casamayor could have beaten Floyd. I understand why Floyd decided not to take that fight, but it would have been awesome. Cas was more experienced, too skilled.

Absolutley, id say it would have been a fight which would have brought out the best in both.

I'm no expert on that division Gamo so i cant argue with you, but on what i know of both guys id give the edge in power to Mayweather ???
Re: Some Fights That Would Of Been Interesting Early In Mayweather's Career
I'm no expert either Donny,I just think it's more a styles thing. Floyd maybe hit harder,Joel is the better counterpuncher. He's also a very sharp puncher. Would have been an awesome boxing match. Joel had more experience. He also did not lack speed himself in his prime, which is what Mayweather uses to beat most of his opponents. Add to that his southpaw stance, and his dirty tactics which unsettles anyone and that's a dam tough proposition for anyone, including Mayweather.
I still think it would be a close fight though, that could go either way(typo in previous post). Mayweather at 130/135 was a phenomenal fighter.

Agreed on that, Cas could have a great legacy if he takes out a Diaz or two before he finishes up.

I think Spadafora is his closest fight out of them all. Tszyu had good timing, and everything else, but Judah isn't Mayweather, Baldomir was able to counter Judah, and box with him, but he was at a lose hitting MAyweather only 14%. I know Tszyu is leagues better than Baldomir, but Mayweather is too quick for him, and people forget that Mayweather had unbelievable timing when he was younger, and he has that great chin which I don't think Tszyu could hurt. Paul Spadafora has good speed, pressure, and he already beat Mayweather in training which would stand for something had they fought especially with Mayweather's insecurities. Spadafora is the guy would give Mayweather the toughest fight of his career, and I truly believe that he would have been a hall of fame candidate had he not gone to jail.

You being serious? Wow,I didnt think Spadafora was that good. I've only seen 2 fights though. BTW,the footage of Paul beating up Floyd in sparring was when Mayweather was out of shape. Paul was training for a fight so obviously he would be sharper. And I agree that Mayweather's timing used to be phenomenal. He was an all time great fighter at 135 pounds, the COMPLETE package. I'm not so ond of him at 147,but he does wht he has to,to win.
Re: Some Fights That Would Of Been Interesting Early In Mayweather's Career
How can't you be sold on him at 147? He has IMO dominated everyone he has fought at this level and higher, and not in the Roy JOnes Jr. sense of dominating because he just doesn't have the power, but technically he putting on a accuracy, and defensive clinic. Sure Mayweather was out of shape, but even an out of shape Mayweather would beat 95% of the contenders out there with his athleticism at those lower weights. About the timing, Mayweather's timing is as good as anyone's but he doesn't have the footspeed he use to so he can capatalize on it like he once did. He use to be able to leap in from four or five feet out in the blink of an eye, but now he is too heavy to move like that. I think that Tszyu would have been lost trying to find Mayweather, and that he just didn't have the speed to catch him.

Sparring don't mean anything even Greg Page decked Tyson in sparring.
