whats up with baby bull calling out pac?
although i love the hype and i think the fight will be exciting, im just wondering why baby bull is calling on pac, who fights at superfeatherweight and yet he is not saying he would want to move down to fight pac there? IMO, if im calling a guy out, id go to him instead of him coming to me. what are your opinion guys?

Pac stated that he wanted to fight David Diaz & that he was ready to move up.
Re: whats up with baby bull calling out pac?
Well let's see Pacs been talking about moving up in weight cause he feels theres nothing left at Super Feather.
Oh! wait except for Valero whos the only worthy opponent... (Which I disagree with)
So if Pac has been talking about moving up and Juan is argueably the best in that division why not call on Pac?
Naz was the Feather champ, MAB was talking about moving up Naz called out MAB.
MAB moved up in weight and they fought.
I personally don't think it's something out of the ordinary for Juan to be calling out Pac. I think it's good and if they both really mean what they are saying then let's get it on. Make the fight happen.

BOB ARUM QUOTE: "Manny has told me he wants to go up to 135," Arum would say. "Now, I've been talking to Freddie Roach about that and if Freddie agrees - and I think he is agreeing - then we'd go to 135 and seek to capture a lightweight championship, probably against David Diaz."
If it's true that Pac wants to move up & make noise by conquering another division, why fwock with David Diaz when you could fight Juan & get 3 belts at once?
Do that & then go fight David Diaz...that equates to unification...but I still don't see why he would'nt want to unify HIS division first.
Re: whats up with baby bull calling out pac?
one at a time. David Diaz first, then, Juan.

But that makes no sense at all...why fight David for one belt when you can fight Juan for 3?
Is Juan seen as the bigger threat or something?
Seems Pac has been having some Juan issues lately. ;D
Seriously though...it'd be silly to face David instead. If I were going to go up to a weight that I had not campaigned at...one that I might not be a shoe in to win at...I'd give it my all for all the marbles in hopes that if I did happen to smoke the man instead of getting smoked meself...the risk would be worth the reward.
Re: whats up with baby bull calling out pac?
pac should test the waters first at lightweight. taking on david diaz as a tune-up would be a good gauge of his chances against the top guys at 135. fighting a beltholder as a tune up is quite impressive if you ask me. i'm sure if he does well against david, a match against juan wouldn't be far off. pac did say after the juan diaz-suico fight that he knows how to beat diaz's style.
Re: whats up with baby bull calling out pac?
i never made a big deal before when he called out pac the first time since pac is a big draw and he will be making money fighting pac. tonight, during the interview larry merchant threw in casamayor's name in there and he ignored the whole thing and went right at calling out pac again. so if hes the best right now, having three belts, why doesnt he go and fight casamayor instead of calling out a guy in the lower weight class

pac ain't ducking nobody let alone anyjuans ;D
the only statements we've heard from pac is his willing to fight jmm if they can finally agree on a deal and his also willing to stay at 130 for valero, thats the only statement we have heard directly from pac. The 135 divions is the other one, but pac hasn't yet said who he would like to fight there. the David diaz comment didnt' come from pac, but I wouldn't mind david diaz first for pac at 135 becuase it is pacs first fight at the division.
I would love to see pac shut baby bull up, thats in the future for sure cause we all know pac don't duck nobody. his name is like the boogeymen you say it often enough you'll eventually be facing him infront of you ;)
so hold your horses wacko, you'll get what you want. baby bull will take his share of punishment from pac soon enough ;D

$$$ you answered you own question. $$$
Re: whats up with baby bull calling out pac?
If I were PAC's handlers I would choose fighters above his NATURAL weight/size that we know he can beat to get a title. IMO It's already a feat that a former flyweight moves up to beat even a tier two type lightweight guys like David Diaz.
Juan Diaz is a different animal obviously his much bigger and stronger than PAC and matches PAC's speed/punch output and possibly even stamina. If you want to see PAC hurt and lose this is one fight to watch.
I won't count out PAC that fast though, at 144 lbs fight night PAC looks more solid than a 141 lbs Juan Diaz taking into consideration Juan started as a welter and PAC a flyweight.

cc jules, although i don't share your confidence i'd still go with our boy pac against jd. juan really hasn't fought anyone who can match his stamina and punch output. it would be a matter of how well pac can take a punch or punches from a legitimate lightweight. but juan diaz really isn't much of a heavy hitter but one who swamps his opponent with pinpoint accurate combinations. i think manny rallies in the mid to late rounds to win a close decision if ever this fight happens. one thing for sure, it would be one hellova war!
