I'll destroy Pacquiao! Say's Marquez

WBC super featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez says wants Manny Pacquiao to commit to a rematch now. "He's coming up with many excuses for not wanting to fight me," says an upset Marquez. "First of all, he complains about the weight class and I compromise to face him as high as the lightweight division, then he comments that the money was an issue, and I responded that wasn't a problem, I'm willing to take a pay cut to please the fans. Pacquiao also commented that he'd rather challenge for the lightweight title. All this is an indication that he's really scared and doesn't want any part of me. He knows I'm the only man who can beat him. I'll destroy him."

Nice stuff from Marquez, like to see Pacquiao respond. Anything but a signed contract will look bad for Manny. It's been 3 years lets get it on!!!

man i hate hearing these two guys names mentioned in the same sentence. i just want them to have a rematch and get it over with

In Marquez eyes Pacquiao was lucky last time...He had that first stuuner over Marquez and JMM knows he only lost due to that round yet Pacquiao remains ranked higher P4P giving him more recognition...JMM wants it rectafied...Can't blame him

I hope PAC takes the bait, if I was PAC, money and fame aside this would be the fight I would want for myself the most for pride.

oh man...this could develop into a bad blood fight with Marquez making statements like that. I REALLY HOPE THEY GO AT IT!!!

If Pacquiao won't give Marquez a rematch then Marquez should look at Guzman! I'm sure he'll take the fight.

Good call my man, Guzman was on top of his game last weekend, but Marquez is a much smarter fighter than Soto.

It does seem like Pacquiao will avoid this match up if possible but Marquez wants it badly Marquez has been in the shadows for years and has been vastly underrated for years he never ducks anyone he has very exciting style and wonderful boxing skills we need more fighters like Marquez who take on the best and he is even willing to take less of the purse just to please the fans you have to admire the guy.

Manny has beat 2 legends twice, he should take the fight he has proved his worth, everyone wants to see a rematch. Give something back to the fans.

I like it, if its true. I'm pretty sure if its true that jmm is running his mouth. Pac will be obligated by the philippines to finish him off next time around. jmm talking will just add fuel into pac, and as aggressive pac can already be jmm talking trash wouldn't really help his health inside the ring but sure will fatten his pockets outside the ring.

I'm almost certain that we will see this rematch come 2008. There is for some reason a hold out for now due to pacs wide range of choices. But if this keeps up jmm will get the most attention and rightfully so. Pac needs to finish off jmm by 2008. Then they'll be no more rivals for pac other then young and chubby juan diaz, whos not at all a mab an eric or a jmm.

Ok, if you can give him the biggest purse, you can just do that, nothing more, nothing less. ;)

By the way, didn't Erik and Marco say that before their fights? Just asking. He better be careful of what he ask for cuz he might just get it.

Why 2008?
Hhmmm! let me see JMM will be 35 and Pac 29.
Ofcourse 2008, and maybe 2009 if it all goes as planned. The more time that passes the better the chances are for Pac. As it is I just don't see how JMM can beat Pac. Tho I sure as hell Am hoping he does. Truth is Pac came in at just a perfect time when MAB, Erik and JMM were/are winding down.
The only time I think I'll see Pac loose is IF he keeps fighting until his older and some fresh blood comes in at that perfect time. Other then that unless by some way of miracle he looses I just don't see him loosing.
