sounds to me like joes the one who dont want the fight

I can understand him wanting good money for this fight but he will be getting millions either way so perhaps he should just take it sometimes ring achievements out way the money.

As I said on another thread,Joe told the Sun he wanted 5 mill to do the fight right after the Kessler fight,now 8 isnt good enough????

Joe initially said he wanted 2.5 million pounds for the fight,thats roughly 5 million American
Now 8 is apparantly below his dignity

Joes playing his hand here, hes already sold on the fight hes just trying his luck and seeing if GBP can dish out maybe another mill.

Whenever you hear about offers, and bids and all that think of it like a hand of Texas Hold' Em you gotta play it smart and get as much money as you can in the pot. Joe knows hes got the upper hand even over Hopkins. I really mean that B-Hop is the more recognizable name in the states but as of late we are more impressed with Joe then Hop.

Theres also TV rights to consider
Hopkins/Wright was a PPV,and then got re-run on HBO,so you get a double dip there
Calzaghe/Kessler was a freebie on HBO and hasnt been re-run
Not to mention him turning down 3 million dollars more then he initially asked for,you think Hopkins doesnt consider that a slap in the face?
This isnt same Danish promoter with a champion nobodies heard of
Nobody who isnt desperate or naive takes Warrens terms

Well even so I mean Joe just Legitimized his stature of being the #1 or #2 168lber EVER, and a reigning 10 year champ. I think he deserves to balk at the offer just for pride if not anything else. I mean if he just took the offer like a tail wagging puppy it would kind of lessen his cause ;)
