Junior Witter calls out Ricky Hatton for a WBC Light-Welter bash....

WBC World Light Welterweight champion Junior "The Hitter" Witter has made a new plea to former Unified champion of the division Ricky "Hitman" Hatton 43-1 (31) after his recent loss to Floyd Maywaether and states if Hatton wants to claim back the number 1 spot at 140 pounds he has to beat me.

Witter who boasts a 36-1-2 (21) is undefeated in 7 years and has defended his WBC belt twice is coming off a fabolous seventh round knockout of then mandatory challenger "Vicious" Vivian Harris and he also claims Ricky Hatton is "shying away" from him.

Not the first time he's called out Hatton and seems this is a final push for Junior to make this fight, he really wants Hatton and before the Harris bout he stated "I dream about fighting Ricky Hatton everyday".

Seems unlikely as Hatton reiterates Junior's not in his league but Hatton wasn't in Floyd's league and Floyd still gave him the fight???.

Witter is good, obviously brave and hungry.Stylistically, he's a nuisance for Rick, but I do feel the Hitman hunts him down and takes him out.

I hope Hatton beats the crap outta him then. It'd be great to finally shut that fucker up.

I've always kept these feelings to myself so you'll probably be in a state of shock when I tell you all this...but I'm not very fond of Junior Witter.

He could very well beat all 3 he certainly would be the logical favorite in all 3, i really want to see Torres vs Hatton thats mouth watering match up based on the styles.

Ricky has used so many excuses over the years..
First it was that the americans think witter is 2 boring,then it was witter isnt well known...,then it was we are building the fight up to make more money....
then it was witter hasnt beaten any top names...
then it was witter needs to win a world title
now its he doesnt want to give junior a big pay day....

Just dont think the hatton camp have ever wanted the fight,2 risky,although i think that ricky would win a close fight by simply outworking junior,but not before being hurt and prob floored first...

I agree to a point. would love to see it but I think witters too good for his own good. the best fight for hatton would be to win his old belt back against malignaggi. then consider fighting witter. Ill still be surprised if the the witter fight ever happens

I dont think he will ever fight Junior..

Frankly theres no way in hell hes scared of witter is there, He just fought perhaps the best fighter or the era..

But imo hatton dislikes junior to such an extent, Instead of beating him real bad and taking his title..
It feels like he is just not taking the fight to spite him because he knows junior wants the big fight the big money and a shot at the big time.. Its hurting him much worse not granting him the fight, Sadistic but both funny and clever on ricky's part
