Margarito to face Judah in March?

It appears that a battle of former welterweight champions with near identical records is being discussed for March. Antonio Margarito (35-5, 25KOs) and Zab Judah (36-5, 25KOs) may lock horns in a clear eliminator for a future big payday.
Margarito-Judah was previously pitched by Top Rank to Showtime, who turned it down and instead televised the Tarver-Santiago tripleheader. Initially, it was being reported that Margarito would face Jose Luis Castillo in an obvious mismatch, but that appears to be off. Steve Kim of AUTO MESSAGE: The webmaster of this site has requested that we do not use any content from it.... please delete this post says Judah is current opponent being discussed for the fighter known as the Tijuana Tornado.
If sources are correct, Margarito-Judah would be a co-feature to a tentative bout between WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey (should he beat Shamone Alvarez). If Margarito and Cotto win, they would collide in either May or June.
Interesting fight. I think the only question is, can Margarito destroy Judah faster than Cotto did?
Re: Margarito to face Judah in March?
If Showtime really did turn down Judah vs Margarito in favour of showing Tarver vs Santiago then they must have a complete fucktard in charge of their sports broadcasting.
I would almost not believe it but then I see Jim Gray and think to myself if they would employ him then really nothing they do should be a suprise. :-\

Good stuff if it happens. I've been wanting this fight for a while and hope it gets set. Margarito will destroy Judah within 9 rounds, though it will be a barnburner for the 1st 5 rounds. If Tony should lose he'll get put way back, so it's a must win for him.

If Tony starts slow it will be...If Margarito comes out of the gate strong it will be a short night work

I was thinking the same thing. Jim Gray is the stupidest interviewer ever. Not only does he ask ridiculous questions, he has no clue when it come to boxing.

My fav. Jim Gray interview is when he interviewed Tyson.
Oh! wait! he didn't really interview him..... ;D
Re: Margarito to face Judah in March?
Judah is going to get knocked the phuk out.
Margarito is going to knock Judah out in 3.
So we have Cotto/Clottey?
This should be an interesting match up.
Those Africans are tough as nails.
This would then set up a fight between Margarito/Cotto?
YES!
Then Cotto/Williams
and then Run Floyd Run!
Cotto is the real Welter Weight KING!
Floyd will defend his belt against another junior welter weight? Or Will he move up and try to fight ODLH @ 154 again? I see Floyd vacating the welter weight belt.
That reminds me, I need to buy some chicken feed.
Re: Margarito to face Judah in March?

Who does not like Zab Judah? What is there not to like about him? He is 110% sheer comedy. He is going to find that his sneak a punch is useless against Tony and Tony is going to walk right through his @ss. Margarito is on a mission and is very dangerous at the moment. Bad timming for Judah.

I never saw the Tyson interview but I remember him trying to interview James Toney after the Holyfielf fight and Toney having to be restrained. He started giving swearing at him and telling him he hated him. Hilarious stuff!
