Take these twenty guys and make a list, be quick about it
I'm bored, I'm home for Christmas with nothing to do, this forum is boring me, all of you individually are boring me.
Make a list, a pound for pound top twenty with these twenty fighters so I don't have to stoop to reading the thread about Roy Jones dogfighting or start searching the internet for the documentary about Paulie Malignaggi (they made a documentary about Paulie Malignaggi, WTF)
Sort it out, these twenty fighters, one through twenty
Kelly Pavlik
JMM
Joan Guzman
Floyd Mayweather
Bernard Hopkins
Rafael Marquez
Israel Vazquez
Joe Calzaghe
Winky Wright
Nonito Donaire
Christian Mijares
Manny Pacquaio
Miguel Cotto
Juan Diaz
Ivan Calderon
Ricky Hatton
Mikkel Kessler
Shane Mosley
Jermain Taylor
Those are the guys, maybe I forgot somebody obvious but that's the list. There are some guys who maybe could be on there-Chad Dawson, Cory Spinks, Linares, Paul Williams, Carl Froch ( :D), Wlad (not in the mood for heavyweights)-but that's the list. I'm sure El Gamo will think where's Takefumi Sakata but nobody knows who Sakata is so just chill the fuck out Gamo. :o

That's my list. Not sure if Cotto belongs above or below R Marquez and Vazquez. Initially I put him below but then put him higher on account of his unbeaten status.
I'm not sure. He looks like the man at welterweight and beat a legend in Mosely but I'm not sure if an old Mosely is better than beating R Marquez or I Vazquez or vice versa. I'd certainly have no disagreements with anyone either way,
Calzaghe HAS to be top 3 though I simply will not listen to arguments regarding ranking him below 3rd place.
I decided to drop Hatton out of the top 10 but I'm sure some will stil put him in the last two spots and thrown out Winky Wright. I think Winky should stay though, losing on points at 170 lbs to another p4p star is no reason to be dumped from the p4p spot he held before.
Pavlik will most certainly hit the top 10 if he beats Jermain Taylor in their rematch but I cannot give him a spot now considering he has yet to even make a successful title defense yet.
I certainly think he deserves a spot but not above lesser known but no less acomplished fighters like Ivan Calderon a double weight world champ and unbeaten, and Juan Diaz a two time world champ also unbeaten.
Mijares and Donaire are at the bottom of the list for me as beating Jorge Arc and Vic Darchinyan doesn't put you into the p4p rankings.
Guzman is borderline top 10 imo a double weight world champ and one of my favourite boxers to watche.
Oh yeah and F*** El Gamo ;D
Re: Take these twenty guys and make a list, be quick about it
Joe should be at least 2nd, Pacquiao hasnt really done much to prove hes any better than Joe or Floyd this year, Floyd has beaten a good light middle and good light welter, Floyd is good but it is frustrating how he never fights the top man in his own division.
Joe has capped an unbelievable run being the top man in the division for 10 years by beating THE hot young prospect in not only supermiddle but boxing

Fucking counting
Allright so who should be the twentieth, i'll edit the post
I see votes for Chris John, David Haye, there's also Spinks, Paul Williams, Linares, or maybe I could indulge Gamo's sick obsession with Takefumi Sakata.

I think Chris John should be there somewhere to be honest, his opposition may be questionable. But he has a win over Marquez, yes it was controversial and i thought Marquez won but a wins a win. Plus Chris John has made 7 defense, plus he is 40-0.
Re: Take these twenty guys and make a list, be quick about it
Hmm, thats funny, I think these threads are boring. Go figure..... I'm not worried about rankings because they dont seem to matter much for matchmaking anymore.... I would be interested in doing a Saddos pound for pound list by division, top 10's then we could compare em to the organizations rankings. Frankly, these lists are just pissing contests about your opinion. Unless your name is Jose Suliaman I dont give a fuck.
Re: Take these twenty guys and make a list, be quick about it
Allright, the twentieth pick is like your joker pick, you can put whoever you want in there. You could even put Carl Froch in there.

Now that would be a joker's pick
Ba-Dum
:lickish:
Re: Take these twenty guys and make a list, be quick about it
For what it's worth my twentieth would be Oscar De La Hoya. He showed against Floyd he's still world class and a cut above Ricky Hatton.
I think Cory Spink, Vernon Forrest and Chris John are the biggest rivals for the 20th spot.
I don't think Haye has done enough yet although if he beats Enzo I'd say he makes top 20.

For some reason Oscar didn't even cross my mind. I guess for a few years now I've just thought of him as a part time celebrity boxer but he is still a good fighter.
