Round by Round audio idea
So i was just thinking, and as far as expending what this board has to offer, if we had audio RBR's i think it would be real cool.. There is this thing called Ventrilo, and you just make a channel and everyone joins and you can listen (or even talk back) to whoever is talking.. All you need is a mic to talk, and speakers to listen (obv).. but instead of having a delay on the rounds, it would be completely instant and live.. So for the people who don't have the PPV or don't have HBO/SHO etc, they could just log into the RBR channel and listen to whoever is giving the RBR in real time..
just an idea as it would be REALLY easy to do, you'd just have to download Ventrilo..

so, sort of a bit of an edit.. my buddy was just telling that you have to pay for a 'server' on Ventrilo.. So you download it and can JOIN a server for free but someone would have had to pay for the server.. so i'm gonna look into it and see exactly how much it is, but in the mean time im gonna see if there is anything similar to it free..

So what you're really after is an interactive commentary type thing? Seems like a good idea.....but I tend to have a few beers when I do my RBRs, and sharing my farts, burps, swearing, running off to the loo between rounds, and stumbling over words drunkenly might put me off a little.
Maybe if we had three or four people on there having a discussion whilst watching would be cool though. Nice idea.

haha yeah, it will be like the HBO crew drunk.. that's okay, the more alcohol involved the more intensity of the RBR haha..
anyway, there is another program like this called 'teamspeak' but i think you have to pay for that one anyway.. I can't figure out how much a Ventrilo server costs, i didn't see it on their site, but i still think it would be a cool idea.

HAHA in all serious my accent ain't pure scouse I mean of course you can tell I'm from Liverpool but it ain't a deep scouse accent if you know what I mean :-\ When I go out I'm not one of these people who say "lad" every other word as I'm from northern Liverpool which is a nice place.
BTW as your welsh what is the name of that train station which is the longest word in the UK isn't it :confused:.

For 200 users it would cost about $40 a month, according to one site I look at. Do not know if that covers excess bandwidth usage.

so, that seems like a lot of money, so forget Ventrilo.. I know that Saddo had a 'chat' feature on here, so i wonder if the board could support audio chatting? Any idea Saddo?
The only other idea i had was MSN messenger.. i mean, i know you can put on a cam and have audio and visual, but i didn't know if you could make a channel and have more than 1 person join.. anybody know?
Just an idea, as people are always asking for the Sopcast of the fights and I haven't had much luck with Sopcast in the past, although i know a lot of you use it and it works fine.. but it would be an alternative to it.
