Now who's the bloke who started this idea of Oscar-Pac fight, he outta be locked up!
Who's this fool who started the idea of pacman - dela Hoya fight? It ain't even a joke cuz it ain't funny. It's a crime so the guy should be locked up for good;D.
Watching dela Hoya yesterday, I'd say he'd be sending my boy flying out on the first:-\. No waaaaay. Let's just stick to Hatton:cool:.
Re: Now who's the bloke who started this idea of Oscar-Pac fight, he outta be locked
I think this idea originally came from Dan Rafael (of ESPN) and Larry Merchant (of HBO)... Maybe someone should issue an arrest warrant for these two...
.
Re: Now who's the bloke who started this idea of Oscar-Pac fight, he outta be locked
i always had merchant down for a knowlegable chap!!!
but pac- de la hoya??
Re: Now who's the bloke who started this idea of Oscar-Pac fight, he outta be locked
Seem to recall a certain someone with a thread like that...;D;) Could be wrong. That fight is a joke.A case of Networks hyping names who have no relevance to one another for gossips sake Imo.
Re: Now who's the bloke who started this idea of Oscar-Pac fight, he outta be locked
The funnier part about this matchup is the Pac fans who think it's a good idea.
It's never a good idea for someone soo small to move up that many divisions to fight.
Re: Now who's the bloke who started this idea of Oscar-Pac fight, he outta be locked
I have been very vocal about on how Hatton/DLH-Pac idea is bullshit.

Add Freddie Roach, Richard Schaeffer, and the Golden Boy himself.

Yeah we should crucify all of these guys promoting this PAC-ODLH fight...
On second thoughts, why are these guys promoting this fight? They're supposed to be the boxing experts (Merchant, Rafael, Roach, Oscar, Schaeffer, etc.) so they must know if a certain match-up is nonsense or not...
If ever this crazy fight materialized, I have no choice but to support my boy PAC...
.

Re: Now who's the bloke who started this idea of Oscar-Pac fight, he outta be locked
What happened to the days where guys like Sam Langford who started at featherweight or welterweight could go up and win the heavyweight championship of the world? Or Joe Gans... if history tells me anything its that little guys must stand some sort of a chance or these things would have never happened.

Now they spend more time in the amateurs to be ready for the pros.
By the time they are pros they already grow up in hight and weight.
Re: Now who's the bloke who started this idea of Oscar-Pac fight, he outta be locked
Those guys were in their 20's when they fought at those low weights more than a few times. Regardless PAcquaio started his career as a teenager as well so as an adult I would say he didn't truly become his full size until about 125 pounds, but even then I would say right now he probably naturally is as a big as Mayweather in terms of walk around weight. He came in against Marquez at 145... thats huge for a 130 pounder.
Re: Now who's the bloke who started this idea of Oscar-Pac fight, he outta be locked
I don't think so Taeth. Pacquaio's built, like most Filipinos, don't really grow much. At age 20, most of us stop growing or have a very slow growth.
Re: Now who's the bloke who started this idea of Oscar-Pac fight, he outta be locked
Yea...I don't think any Pacfans on this forum want De La Hoya vs Pac.
I'm already uncomfortable with him going to 135.
