How would Pavlik-Andrade go?
Pavlik's not a mover really, he's got pretty heavy looking feet actually. He might use the jab and the right hand at range but he's gonna be within Librado's range. And if anybody can just walk through his punches it would be Librado.
Funny I think Pavlik could beat Kessler (not saying he would for sure, but I'd think about picking him) but I think Kessler matched up much better with Andrade cause he could use his feet to stay out of range at times, something Pavlik wouldn't do. And Andrade could test Pavlik's chin.
So?
Re: How would Pavlik-Andrade go?
Pavlik hits Andrade in his granite head all night long until he either stops him or wins on points.
Re: How would Pavlik-Andrade go?
I don't know, for some reason I see this as a tough fight for Pavlik. Maybe he could do what he did against Miranda, take a tough come forward fighter and back him up because he has no idea how to fight backing up. It would be an interesting fight to me.
Re: How would Pavlik-Andrade go?
This is one matchup I really have wanted to see. Andrade can get hit by a truck and still come forward. Pavlik will land all night, but Andrade will force his way in and things could get messy for Kelly. Kelly looks somewhat awkward in his lack of movement, but Andrade is no beauty to watch in the movement department either and it will be a war of wills as Librado will just keep wading in.
Kelly I seriously doubt has the chin Andrade does; and though I see Kelly controlling early on, it could get bad for him in later rounds, as something Andrade throws will connect.
A physical guy like Librado needs to work Kelly's body; as the sheer volume of punches Pavlik throws eventually catches up with dudes, and if Librado can effectively get to Kelly's body he could limit that volume Kelly puts out. I know Mack knocked Andrade down, but that was almost an off balance type knockdown. I can see Kelly knocking Andrade down, but not out. The ref would have to stop the fight before Andrade ever gets knocked out. It could go the distance and it could be a close fight if Andrade can neutralize the sheer volume Kelly gives.
Re: How would Pavlik-Andrade go?
The ability to absorb punches is called in german "Nehmer-Qualitaet" translated it means something like "taker-quality"...and its always the same if you use this phrase in Germany people will say thats not a quality...but it is...I doubt that Andrade would be where he is if not for his granite chin...Pavlik-Andrade could be a really exciting fight, but in the end Pavlik by UD...
Re: How would Pavlik-Andrade go?
Andrade has better technical skill. He would win via decision if he survives 12 rounds. I've seen him rocked many times. And he's really good of shaking them off.
I don't think he can afford to take a good one from Pavlik though. ;D
70% Pavlik by KO
30% Andrade by Decision

Since forever.
So you don't think Andrade is a better boxer than Pavlik?

Yeah Pacstraight; I kind of disagree with that observation. Pavlik is much more fundamentally/technically sound than Andrade, and watching Andrade work the ring makes Pavlik look like Floyd in comparison. Andrade overwhelms opponents and basically throws hoping something will connect. Like someone else mentioned, his ability to take shots is the only real reason he's where he's at, at least IMretardedO;D I've only seen a handful of his fights though, so maybe I need to look at more.

Sorry, but Hell No...If Andrade would be better boxer than Pavlik I doubt he would have lost against Kessler...at least won a few rounds...Don't get me wrong I like Andrade and he looked pretty good against Stieglitz, but skillwise he is miles behind Pavlik...IMO...
Re: How would Pavlik-Andrade go?
Alright guys. Fukk it. You win!
Andrade was really impressive in his last 2 fights. I think he did lots of improvements since his lost to Kessler.
Re: How would Pavlik-Andrade go?

See... with this I can agree...:)
Re: How would Pavlik-Andrade go?
Pavlik leaves marks when he hits. He would turn Andrades face into a swollen bleeding pulp.
Pavlik is no Kessler, he is a heavy puncher not a snap puncher. Pavlik would stop Andrade within 6 rounds. Mercy stoppage, maybe sooner.
Re: How would Pavlik-Andrade go?
He'll even pound on his opponents foreheads!! LOL
Poor Lockett. his forehead had dents in it.;D
