Re: Prizefighter ..Welterweights
Watch out for George Hillyard (a vicious body snatcher from East london);D
Fights dirty but can seriously bang this boy!!
Seen him a few times before but he seems to be treading water of late:confused:
Minter and Bami must be in with a shout
Re: Prizefighter ..Welterweights
Really like these tournemants, exciting nights they are
Re: Prizefighter ..Welterweights
local(ish) lad Mark Lloyd from Telford's a decent fighter i'll be hoping he does well, saw him at the Civic in Wolverhampton win the Midlands Area strap not long ago. Gotta think Bami's gotta be one of the favourites always looked decent.
Re: Prizefighter ..Welterweights
awesome set up, I really cant wait for this!
Re: Prizefighter ..Welterweights
Im looking really forward to this one!!Should be some great action throughout the tournament.Im looking to see our man Nigel Wright to win. He's a well experianced southpaw. He boxers for the construction firm i worked for(Gusrobinson ltd). He's 5/1 to win the tournament. There great odds for a really good fighter like him(Nice tip for you better panters out there).I fancy a little bet on George Hillyard to win too.He looks dangerous and can bang hard.At a price of 10/1 for him to win,you cant go wrong putting a few quid on him!!!Dont say i did'nt tell you's:D

Im not to sure what Neil Sinclair has left havent seen him fight in a while, but few years ago was a top operator and would of deffo won this back then, Nigel Wright i agree good bet at them odds, id say its between Wright and Sinclair.
Re: Prizefighter ..Welterweights
You sure Wrights in it mate has he pulled out?
No odds for him when i checked on oddschecker.
I like Minter each way at 6/1 No way Bami is fav imo hes a 140 fighter, id take Minter to out muscle him if they met, Sinclair is 7/2 second fav defintly most talented fighter in the compitition but maybe a bit past it, but the level of talent in this i fancy him still.
Re: Prizefighter ..Welterweights
I fancied Neil Sinclair on past form too.. but he's out.
The three round tear-up should suit Hillyard, he's been fighting around middleweight too.. but don't think he's got the class to beat a Bami :-\
Re: Prizefighter ..Welterweights
Quarter-finals
George Hillyard v Ted Bami
Steve Conway v Mark Lloyd
Michael Lomax v Craig Dickson
Ross Minter v Nigel Wright
Semi-finals
Hillyard-Bami v Conway-Lloyd
Lomax-Dickson v Minter-Wright
Tough draw with Minter-Wright as a quarter :-\

Yeah i always have a bet ;D
I think the odds will change a bit now the draw is done.
Wright has an even money fight with Minter. I thought about backing Hillyard but he now has Bami first up... in fact i'm thinking about backing Bami considering he's in the otther half to Minter and Wright and their fight is a toss up.. I need to confuse myself by giving it more thought yet :-\

Yeah Wright v Minter is going to be really tight to bet on!I'd still have to go with my man Wright though!I really fancy Hillyard too.He is really wild and has some power in his punches to be a real threat.Im looking forward to this.Good to hear thatr your a betting man,My kind of friend you are;)
Re: Prizefighter ..Welterweights
I think Wright might just edge and outbox Minter, any idea why Sinclair is out Fenster?

No mate, no inside knowledge, just noticed he'd gone from the betting.
