Attenborough seeks to prove evolution
He's got a one off special on tonight about how the truth's of Darwin have finally been proven beyond doubt apparently. Will watch with interest.
There seems to be a concerted effort at the moment to generate a groundswell of publicity for athiestic humanism, we had Dawkins 'The God Delusion' last year, the buses advertsing the fact there's no God all around the UK and now Attenborough is going to reassure us all that there's no doubt in the minds of science any more.
Should be an interesting watch, it's a shame they will never broadcast any counter side so all we get is 'religious' indoctrination from the humanists intent of making their religion the number one but it's been the same throughout human history I guess, the people being told what to think and believe.
Will watch with interest........

Wow, finally proof. Let me guess they found a bone somewhere and they made an artists rendering of what they think it looked like and it's all the transitional species?!?
It's funny what people will require for proof of God, but will accept any imaginative official sounding story as proof there isn't one.;)

Exactly, if someone says the Bible is true people dismiss and say 'show me the evidence' if someone says evolution is true then that statement itself is accepted as being the evidence.
I'm fairly certain this documentaries 'proof's' of evolution will consist of telling us its now proven.
Re: Attenborough seeks to prove evolution
All Science has ever been able to do is tell us how, never why.
Re: Attenborough seeks to prove evolution
I think the English have gone nuts with the PC "there is no God" bs because they don't want a religious war in their own country.
Also how fucking stupid is this guy??? Even if you do prove evolution beyond a reasonable doubt you have not proven that there is no God. There COULD be evolution AND God, I mean it's not like light and dark or hot and cold it's not like you can have one but not both of them.....what is wrong with England taxes on TV's and everyone saying there is no God you guys are going to hell in a handbasket whether you believe in such a place or not
Re: Attenborough seeks to prove evolution
Lyle I think you are getting a few things mixed together here.
An athiest organisation being aloud to put adverts on buses because we have something called freedom of speech (sure it's on your bill of rights?)
a program on the T.V. about evolution
our overly P.C. local councils who try to tone down religous themes in public events because our country is incredibly diverse and they are overly scared of offending somebody
None of these show or add up to everbody saying there is no god' or 'The English being scared of a civil religous war'.
I'm sat right now with the T.V. on in the background... a program called songs of praise is on... it's basically a church service on BBC1.
You often try to talk about England with Authority and you are usually wrong Lyle, I can see where you're shooting from but your facts have obviously been twisted in their journey over the atlantic you're making pretty massive statements there with out actually having been in the country to see what's actually going on.
Re: Attenborough seeks to prove evolution
Though you have basically echoed what I've said. Evolution could be how... but god is why.
Re: Attenborough seeks to prove evolution
Adam, I am not speaking from a position of authority...I am merely trying to make sense of this all

I'd be more interested in knowing how He (God) managed to pull it off.
Re: Attenborough seeks to prove evolution

Can't really argue creation with you Scrap as you were probably there for most of it :D
Re: Attenborough seeks to prove evolution
In a way I was my ancestors were ;D, and they talk to me all the time.
Re: Attenborough seeks to prove evolution
people saying there is no God is nothing more than God allowing Satan to work in a fallen world.
The very scientists who speak of the laws of science seem to ignore the fact that it's these very laws that lend support of His existence.

....I think Mike Huckabee gave a good rational explination about evolution and religion.
And honestly I don't like anyone pushing their views on me....atheists are just as annoying as those God damned Jehovah's Witnesses that come to my door trying to tell me how great life could be if I only didn't celebrate anything and became crazy as hell....sorry people life is too short not to try and celebrate everything God put here.
I like the teachings of Joseph Campbell to be totally honest, I think he is the point where atheists and believers in God can agree

Right.. because no god sqaud merchant, of any religion, ever gets to air their beliefs in the media? :scratchchin:
