I'd say so, but Sandy Saddler was pretty sly as well, and so was/is Teddy Reid.
Sugar Ray Robinson said it. " I've learned more thing's in one match with Zivic then in all of my fight's with Lamotta". Also it was said that he intentionally would foul twice like punching below the belt and elbowing at the same time. I don't believe there is too much film of him, so we just have to go on what people say.
It couldn't be Golota. He was too dumb to get away with it. A true dirty fighter knows how to cheat and not get caught. For me, Evander Holyfield makes the top 5 at least.
Agapito Sanchez was a dude I would have never wanted to meet on the streets, RIP. I've only seen a few of his fights but he definitely takes the cake from what I've seen.

DAMN!! that vid isnt really displaying anything dirty though IMO. To me he was being more of a sore loser than a dirty fighter. I seen Golota do some dirty shit but never got away with it obviously. But the dirtiest fighter i seen was holyfield.Quote:

Wow,Holyfield got promoted from top 3 to 1st.Nice ;D.But What Butler did was an act of a coward and as dirty as it gets in the contenuim of a professional prize fight in the ring.Its not over simply because the bell rings.Hey....I hear you man,You believe what you will and thats where we'll leave it.To each his own.But I think your way off.Your right about Golota...The Foul Pole indeed,very dirty.He was like a light switch,just snapped in there when the going got rough,he had some skills though.Quote:

Echols too good one. Robert Guerrero right now is way dirty, if he can get away with something he does it. Look at his fight with Eric Aiken that was one of the dirtiest displays of punching I've ever seen to just get away with no warning at all.
Holyfield had to be dirty but like Spicoli said it was more just to show his opponents he wasn't soft when coming up from cruiser. He was possibly dirtier then Mike in their fights but Tyson made a few big mistakes.
Nigel Benn was also a verrry dirty fighter. He rabbit punched all the time and against Iran Barkley he was unloading huge power shots to a downed Barkley each time he dropped him. He also rabbit punched a whole lot.

Fighting dirty was Zivic's MO, if it wasn't for that he probably wouldn't have been able to overcome Hank Armstrong, or even make it into the HOF. There has been countless dirty fighters but perhaps none other than Fritzie Zivic have gone out of their way to fight dirty.
