JMM is the worst pound for pound #1
IF Juan Manuel Marquez becomes pound for pound #1 then he is the worst pound for pound #1 EVER.
First, he is not the most exciting boxer to watch.;D Pac is!
Second, he has the habit of being knocked down by Pac especially in the early rounds.;D
Third, In 2005, Márquez was stripped of his WBA super and IBF titles, for his inability to defend it against various boxers after potential bouts failed to draw a bid.
Fourth, In 2006, Márquez attempted to regain a title, coming up short in a decision loss to Indonesian boxer Chris John for the WBA Featherweight championship title.
Fifth, he won his titles in the lightweight division against old Casa and a non-pound for pound Diaz.
Sixth, he hardly won against an old Barrera while Pac pummeled Barrera to submission while Barrera was still the featherweight king.
Seventh, he will never be the pound for pound#1. In case, Hatton wins over Pac. HAtton will be number 1;D;D;D
Eigth, those who claim to be knowledgeable in boxing but who really does not know about boxing will react to this thread madly.:-X
Re: JMM is the worst pound for pound #1
You are so excited about this that you have started the thread twice??
Re: JMM is the worst pound for pound #1
thank you for noticing that. ;)
Re: JMM is the worst pound for pound #1
Brother Bruce, I like your opening salvo...
"IF Juan Manuel Marquez becomes pound for pound #1..."
;)
But there's a big chance for JMM since PAC will retire at the end of this year...

JMM is an outstanding fighter , who is an old school guy , if he loses , he bounces right back . I dont see how anyone could have anything bad to say about this guy.

Exactly, JMM is a class fighter. His recent resume is outstanding. He beat the good Diaz and only the judges beat him against Manny.
I don't actually have anything against Pac, but I do want him to lose badly against Hatton. It's the fans and these threads that I'm countering against.

What I don't like about JMM is, he's always whining about his losses saying it's all robberies... PAC gave him a chance to redeem himself but he can't avoid a KD and can't really convincingly get the judges nods... I really hope JMM will rematch with Chris John in neutral venue and prove that he was indeed robbed when John defeated him in Indonesia...

Of course he should complain. He won way more of the 24 rounds than Manny did. He's a better boxer than Manny. But Manny has that speed and pop to put Marquez down and take big rounds.
He deserves another shot, Pac has only legitimately beaten him once and that was a rip off in the eyes of many.

Yet people have something bad to say about Pacquiao who has done absolutely nothing wrong... hypocrites.

Many who have eye problems, Pacquiao clearly won that fight, only and idiot would think otherwise, so if people want to argue their intellect is clearly subpar. Any arguement they make is clearly because their IQ is two standard deviations below the norm.

Which fight in particular, or are you referring to both of their fights? As has been pointed out elsewhere, the general consensus amongst boxing writers and seemingly amongst people on here, is that Marquez deserved the verdict in the second bout.
Your post is a little strange. It seems as though Taeth has been taken over by a lunatic who has had difficulties learning English as a second language. ;D

We all know that a KD matters more than winning a round... That's why it's scored 10-8, 10-7, 10-6 (hope all judges now know how to score a 10-6 round), etc.
I'm inclined more on JMM having a rematch with Chris John so that JMM can really prove he's been robbed in that fight... A 3rd fight with PAC is also good but considering PAC has only one fight left (after Hatton) before he retires then I want to see PAC go for another bigger challenge than JMM... It could be PBF or Cotto, who knows?? ...

I expected this exact thread title after the other thread, although I wasn't sure whether it would be you or SaddoBoxer who did it
