Ive never had them on me,and Im not in law enforcement,but they do seem to be increasingly popular with law enforcement. I know most riot squads use them almost exclusively.Quote:

I would guess its because theyre less bulky then the traditional metal ones,and you can cuff multiple suspects quickly that way.
It appears the 2 men in plastic cuffs as well as others were escorted out as such as part of protocol. Understandable considering it is often difficult to discern the victims from the killers in the early stages.
14 dead, 4 wounded and in critical condition as of now. The killer being one of the dead.
37 people survived. Most if not all of the people were immigrants.

Isn't it better to just prohibit guns? The BBC was saying Mexico gets most of its guns from the US too.
Too many incidents like this are taking place all too frequently.
That is a skewed stat Miles...Most of the weapons used by the cartel are in fact manufactured in the US..then sold to the Mexican Govt for its military...then find their way to the Cartels...This of course is always left out.
NY State has some of the strictest gun laws in the country by the way. The guy would have been gunned down in Texas by law abiding citizens with concealed carry licenses
It's still a minefield though. I really don't approve of governments selling weaponry and arms to other governments. Israel takes the biscuit with that! Though of course, it is everywhere.
I still look at this country and see zero gun crime. There are no guns here. It makes sense.
If a country really feels so strongly about being able to own guns in the home then fair enough. These things will continue to happen on a regular basis. All I can do is to ensure that I don't live in the U.S. ;D
