Is it possible maywether could be thinking...
Seeing as how 'LIL FLOYD and leonard ellerbe like to compare how certain fighters did against each other as a reasoning not to fight someone...
I.E. "didnt he score 3 knockdowns and only get a draw?" - PBF when asked about fighting PACMAN...
Isn't is possible that PBF could have convinced himself that if he comes back from a year layoff and beats the man that arguably out boxed pacman twice..that there's no need to face PACMAN, and totally forget to include the fact that PACMAN took out the fighter that went ten rounds with him in two...

I don't think he'd use it to avoid Pacquiao, but he'd use it to hype the fight between them and say he is still p4p the best.
If he says "People say that Pacquiao beat Hatton more impressively then I did. That's cool. But Hatton had no chance with him, just like he had no chance with me. But I beat the guy, that handed Pacquiao his ass twice. So in my eyes, I'm still p4p the best and if he wants that title, he'll have to come and take it, it's money mayweather."
Re: Is it possible maywether could be thinking...
Marquez fought Pacquiao to a standstill twice, so if I'm Floyd I'm thinking if I beat this guy in my 1st fight back no one can deny I'm number one!!!
Makes a Pacquiao fight a whole lot more attractive imo!!!
Whoever wins Mayweather/ Marquez (I think Marquez has a chance to pull of the upset) needs to then face Pacquiao to settle any despites!!!
Re: Is it possible maywether could be thinking...
IMO Mayweather still has the more impressive resume
Re: Is it possible maywether could be thinking...
I expect PBF to win via a wide boring UD ... and how PBF will spin that out to PAC?
"Well PAC can only manage a draw and a split decision against JMM while me (PBF) schooled Marquez totally..." ;)

how's Pac gonna spin his last two victories on PBF?
"i beat Mayweather's leftovers, and ehh both were fights he took while he kept talking about retirement, ehhh" lol
i'm just pullin your leg SB ;D

No need to spin those wins... I never heard PAC referring to his past fights... Unlike Hatton ... "I demolished Tszyu when no one expected me to do so..." ;)

Even if he does beat Marquez, nobody can deny that one fighter is fighting two weight classes outside of what he should be....and the opponent is PBF and not a weight drained Oscar. :-\
Re: Is it possible maywether could be thinking...
This fight is arguably the best fighter in the world vs the former comebacking best fighter in the world! I see it being a very competitive bout! Those that say Marquez doesn't have a chance but still want to see Pac take on Mayweather just crack me up. IMO Marquez won both Pacquiao fights, I rate Pac #1 P4P only because he got the decision in the 2nd fight... if anyone thinks Marquez doesn't have a chance here I hope they also feel that Pacquiao should stay well clear of Mayweather too!!! Or it would seem a be of a double standard to me!

JMM gets all the credits in going up and fighting PBF... but he's a 4 to 1 underdog and I don't see him winning this fight...
BTW no one knew beforehand that Hoya is that weight drained... In fact Hoya enjoying being a 2 to 1 favorite... As I've said, stop reading too much into that fight... You're only blinded by Hoya's skeletal physique...;D and fail to appreciate what PAC has done impressively in that fight...

what are you talking about? that's what the main conversation was leading up to the fight, the main question was, if DLH would be able to make 147 without killing himself, the answer, no he wasn't able to

Yes that was Team PAC's equalizer for the massive size, height and reach advantage of Hoya... Take note, it's equalizer... People still see the fight heavily favoring Hoya (2 to 1 favorite) and they did not predicted that Hoya will be THAT weight drained... People expected Hoya to be weight drained but not THAT weight drained...;D

Actually, DLH tore his body up so much to get down that he couldn't even get his weight back properly as on fight night he weighed 145, less than Pac. Roach pointed out that DLH have IV marks and that is a desparation attempt to hydrate someone. Before the ring entrance no one knew but DLH knew he was doomed.

How so? I am the biggest mAYWEATHER fan on here, but his two biggest wins were against Hatton and Oscar and Pacquiao beat them both worse along with beating Marquez, Barrera and Morales. Not to mention a whole slew of other solid fighters.
Both have a great resume, but Pacquiao's is clearly better even IMO before he fought De La Hoya and Hatton.
