The most boring day in saddoboxing history
I haven't been on in a couple of days, I come back with nothing to do today but watch NBA basketball and look at the internet and this place has been incredibly boring, like eight posts all day and I've had three or four of them.
So I need something to entertain me so its youtube and this fight just makes me happy. I'm a huge fan of the guy who wins and the guy who gets blasted out annoys me. And I had faith that he could do it (not in one round but who cares)

The best right hook in boxing? Brutal.

Toney/ Jirov was a great fight! I can't wait to see Lopez in against any of the top guys like Vasquez, Marquez, Cabballero (if he doesn't move up) Kratingdaeggym is tough & will be hard for anyone to beat...

How Ponce didn't go down from the right hook at 1:06 to go in the round is beyond me, ffs that was a bomb, for all intents and purposes the end of the fight although he took about eight more bombs before it. I am quickly becoming a Juanma hugger.

Yes, I'd like to see what Vazquez and Marquez have left (Rafa's got a fight coming up against somebody, can't remember who). It would kind of be typical of those guys to prove everybody wrong and actually have a lot left but at some point they have to slow down.
I heard Caballero was lucky to get the nod last time? Haven't seen it thought. He is hot and cold though so that wouldn't surprise me. I have heard Caballero-Gamboa is almost set but that could be BS for all I know.
Anyway I think Lopez learned some things from the Penalosa fight. He got a little sloppy at times but I never agreed at all that he was gonna walk over Penalosa, that dude is a rock and solid defensively.
I love Steward's call of the 12th in Toney-Jirov. That hook Toney originally hurt Jirov with was short and kind of hard to catch (especially cause on TV Jirov had his back to the camera) but Steward saw he was hurt immediately.

Leave some space on there for me, Lopez has just gone from strength to strength! What a statement to make blasting out a feared puncher & rated fighter like DeLeon
Re: The most boring day in saddoboxing history
Edit- not so much that Caballero got lucky but that it was close and it could have gone either way.
But like I said he's had some fights like the Lacierva one where he didn't look that great and then he bombed out Molitor.
Re: The most boring day in saddoboxing history
I don't think I've ever seen anybody with as much seeming disdain or contempt for his opponent and I don't mean that in a bad way

How much did that fight take outta both guys? Jirov was never really the same imo
Rafa is one of my favs so I gotta say he has a lot left (at least I hope he does) he next fight will show us though & get rid of some of the rust...
Gamboa/ Caballero? Man does Gamboa have some balls or what? Don't get me wrong I'd love to see the fight but Caballero is extremely dangerous & Gamboa still makes mistakes that against an elite opponent like Caballero could be fatal...
Re: The most boring day in saddoboxing history
No Jirov was never really the same after that, well except for maybe the final round of the Mesi fight.
He was never suited to be a heavyweight anyway.
Yeah Gamboa/Caballero, I can't find the article now but I think it was on boxingscene and it said that it was almost set. We'll see I guess.
Re: The most boring day in saddoboxing history
I guess its sink or swin for Gamboa if that fight is made!
Re: The most boring day in saddoboxing history
great fight to watch but the whole time I'm just thinking... "Why didn't somebody teach Jirov how and when to clinch?!?!"
