Re: favourite gangster movies of all time
I like Alpha Dog, Fernando Vargas was in that movie too. I think he did well for his character but Justin Timberlake suprise me on how well he can act. This is a sad true story, it reminds me of friends i knew in the past.
Scarface is a popular gangster movie but if you stop and think about it, Tony Montana is full of bullshit.
Godfather I, II, III were all good but I especially like part I. Btw guys is Brandon Marlon a native american? Did anybody see when he won the oscar? I always consider guys in these movie as the ones to look up to not these street gangsters we saw everyday. I always said if you gonna be a gangster do it the right way.
Street Kings I consider that a gangster movie some may not but them boys in blue were more gangster then them boys they were locking up.
GoodFellas I like also.
I can't remember the title of it but I also like the movie were Robert Dinero was a father to a kid who gets invovle with the local mafia. Anybody remembet the title?

Re: favourite gangster movies of all time
;) Ofcourse, The Godfather (1-3).
Once Upon A Time in America, too. :)
Yes, Scarface, The Untouchables.
Also, Blood In, Blood Out.
The Outsiders, :D but it was only a gang movie.
Can we consider Bonnie and Clyde gangsters?
Try: :o A Better Tomorrow (1 & 2) and HARDBOILED ;D (Directed by John Woo, starred Chow Yun Fat).
Re: favourite gangster movies of all time
Not in any order -
Get Carter (original)
The Godfather 1 & 2
Heat (if you consider it a gangster movie)
King of New York
Bullet Boy (more localized one very similar to what it's like where I live, about real London not Guy Ritchie's middle class interpretation)
Donnie Brasco
Paid In Full
Infernal Affairs
Brother (the hardest gangster film there is)
City of God
Goodfellas
Casino
probably more I've forgotten
Re: favourite gangster movies of all time
Goodfellas. I think that's the best gangster film by a mile.

Yeah I have. Dumbass yank. Goodfellas pisses on them both.
Re: favourite gangster movies of all time
I'm probably the only person who feels this way, but I thought Scarface was a mediocre film at best.
I've seen A Bronx Tale mentioned a few times, I love that movie. Written and directed by De Niro.
