FNF 7/17/09 Prescott vs. Vazquez
Lady and Gentlemen.
He comes the next chapter in "The prospect that was never supposed to be". Hard hitting Colombian (albeit with more skills that most of his countrymen) Breidis Prescott is trying to put another interesting fight under his belt. After the one round destruction of Amir Khan, Prescott stepped in against (the only active Equadorian fighter I know of) Humberto Toledo. In that match Toledo tried an unorthodox approach which didn't seem to phase Prescott. Toledo became more and more frustrated and increased dirty desperation tactics crescendoing to a 10th round DQ via neck bite in a clinch.
His opponent Miguel Vazquez has been coming down in weight over the years, bouncing back and forth between Light Welter and Welter. To be honest I don't know much about Vazquez, but he has only lost to very good competition (Saul Alvarez x2 and Timothy Bradley)
The undercard features Cuban phenoms Erislandy Lara (taking on durable Journeyman Darnell Boone) and Guillermo Rigondeaux (against some dude from Arizona that's had 8 fights in 13 years as a pro and has no power)
Re: FNF 7/17/09 Prescott vs. Vazquez
Should be a decent night. I see Rigondeaux is fighting another bum.

It is only his 2nd fight, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for about 5 fights. A nice little step up for Lara, Boone's been in with some real good competition and is usually competitive. They may also show the Sharef Bogere guy that one dude on here (Sharef himself I assume) is always talking about.

Fair enough Killer. But this guy he's fighting sounds worse than the last one:D
Yeah I'm anxious to see this Sheriff Booger guy. Hope they show it.

I assume he's the swing match, The way Prescott fights there is a good probability it will be over quick. I doubt Lara will get the stoppage against Boone. I picture Guillermo showing off with fancy not over powerful stuff.
I'd say we have a 33% chance of seeing Boogers.

Sounds good, I keep on thinking Prescott's gonna lose, I don't think he's really that good. I don't think I've ever seen the other guy so its hard to pick him. Khan will end up having the better career I think.
I want to see the Cubans, especially Lara.

I really like Lara when he lets his hands go, I think as his competition improves he will look better and better. I have to assume they as just getting Rigondeaux used to the TV lights.
:woot: NASCAR

Happy fight night...no doubt about that.Prescott showed some diversity and boxing last outing with man-shark Toledo. And patience and restraint......I would have fed Toledo the nearest stool that night;D
Hope Teddy has settled down over Rigondeaux.Awesome potential but think went over board just a tad last time.
Re: FNF 7/17/09 Prescott vs. Vazquez
