Who else could replicate Haye's performance?
Out of interest I'm wondering how many other guys below heavyweight we think could have done just as effective a job against Valuev as Haye did?
Below is my list of fighters who I think would all beat Valuev.
Bernard Hopkins
Roy Jones ( prime wins easy, current Roy still wins)
James Toney (prime, prob even now)
Chad Dawson
Joe Calzaghe
Artur Abraham

Fighters who would go 12 rounds but may not win the decision.

How in the world would Valuev ever catch up with Ivan Calderon? He'd never get close.
I don't think Valuev would stop ANY of those inside the distance and all of the fighters in the top list would beat him imo.
Haye's win is just no big deal, Valuev is just fucking awful.

None of those are natural heavyweights. What jones did to a 6`4 ruiz is an entire different story when you put an extra foot of heighth and 100 odd pounds.
If arthur abraham woke up tommorow morning 9 inches taller and 60 pounds heavier sure id give him a chance of beating valuev.
But your not gonna get any of those suddenly jumping up, giving far more physical attributes away than haye did yet winning through there qualitys at their own weights because......the guys 7foot 2 and 320 pounds for peet sake!

If arthur abraham woke up tommorow morning 9 inches taller and 60 pounds heavier sure id give him a chance of beating valuev.
But your not gonna get any of those suddenly jumping up, giving far more physical attributes away than haye did yet winning through there qualitys at their own weights because......the guys 7foot 2 and 320 pounds

No you are missing my point! Valuev is so slow he simply cannot hit a smaller, faster man. The smaller the guy the more elusive a target he represents.
Explain to me how Valuev would land a single punch on Floyd Mayweather for example? All he does is lumber forward cluelessly, Floyd would easily go 12 rounds with Valuev, and he wouldn't have to bulk up.
325 lb Valuev vs 147 lb Floyd is a 12 round fight imo and one in which Floyd could conceivably win for accurate punching.
Valuev is nothing more than a mobile wall that you just need to circle away from and.
I genuinely can't see how he could catch and stop any fighter determined to keep away from him.
He's useless and ironically the smaller you are the easier it is to probably survive against him.
Guys like Hopkins, Jones, even Floyd and Mosely would have no trouble going 12 rounds with him. Would they do enough to win in the eyes of the judges, maybe maybe not, but that's not the point.
All I'm asking is could they do what Haye did, keep away for 12 rounds and throw maybe 2 punches a round?
I say they can. If you disagree what do you see Valuev doing differently to be able to catch these even smaller, faster men when he couldn't get near Haye all night?
