Yeah, Ricky had a well known detrimental habit of blowing up to the 170s in between fights. A lot of times at weigh ins he looked like death.
Like a few have said he always is that size, but as you yo yo in wieght as you get older it defintly effects you, I do think he can make 140 but I dont think he is as effective these days . I hope he stays retired.

It was quite embarrassing seeing a fighter who was always so good with his feet waddling around like a duck.
If ever he decides to come back to boxing, I seriously hope he'll train one extra month than per usual just to lose his weight and to not lose stamina, this is a real horror.
Surprised by his speed, he didn't look that much slower than when he's 140 ;D

Roy Jones went up with muscle. He had to exercise in a way that allowed him to lose tone. Ricky had to shed fat. He could have been a lot more effective in his career if he'd committed to staying 10lbs at the most above fighting weight. I think Ricky has been his own worst enemy.Quote:

He`s one of those rareitys in that he can lose weight just as fast as he can put it on
