I wonder why most of the people in this thread if im not mistaken hate the pacman
PACMANS atittude? HUMBLE easy going, never say anything bad against his opponent
STYLE?very much entertaining clean and fair fighter
possesses humility? respect every individual, happy person very positive give everything in the ring have the heart of a champion not a runner willing to fight toe-toe even, can risk everything just to win the fight i just dont understand why people hate him being a good man and respectable still someone hates him

I think people like to hate great fighters because they are stuck in the past, and can't accept the glory of the present. Manny is an amazing fighter who will go down as one of the best ever. I absolutely love watching him fight, and he is absolutely incredible. Great skills, amazing speed and power, and he is extremely tough to boot.
I've been heralding him as a true top ATG for sometime now, to the criticism of many others on this site.

I hate Pacquiao... the reason being HIS FANS... It's sad but most people that dislike Pacquiao is due to his godly status that his fans make of him. I mean for god sakes we had a section only for pacquiao fans here... that is insane.. another thing being is his "mexicutioner" name that once again his fans gave him. Marquez getting robbed and his fans acting like pac dominated both fights... Sadly i would proabably like pac alot if it wasn't for his fans..

But this I tell you, we dont need to go down there just to prove something. What we see of Manny Pac is something he did and worked for and we cannot discredit him for that. Just like other great fighters. Our conflicts here should not involved the fighters, lets keep it within the fan circle.

I understand what you are saying and in a way feel guilty to dislike him on that. But it's hard for a hispanic fan to root for him pinoys vs mexicans seems to be the new war like it was with puerto rico.. You can't really root for a guy nicknamed mexicutioner lol even if its just the fans that call him that.. one thing is for sure after this past saturday.. I may not like him but DAMN i respect him.. Pacquiao is truely p4p and he is an all time great...

Cheers to that mate. It just so happen that great fighters that manny fought before are mexicans. You guys should be proud of that in a sense that it tells us mexicans are truly gifted fighters. Its ugly when promoters are putting colors or nationality into the mix when they promote the fight. For other its like a war but for some who knew sportsmanship it means a competition and competition is not like war. I guess we are being dragged into it everytime fighters fight. But you know, we can adapt to it soon. Just how Morales became a friend of Pacman.

Why would anyone hate on Pac? No boxing fan has a good reason to hate on Pac. He just does his job. He fights, doesn't get in trouble, likes and associates with his fans, puts on a show, and never complains. Please don't hate a fighter because of the controverial decisions. Fighters aren't judges. And Pac doesn't act like his obsessed fans. Just look at Pac, not Freddie Roach or anyone else who may be annoying. Then you'll see a lot better reason to like him then the dislike you may have for the other stuff around him thats easy to hate. Boxing needs guys like Pac.

I know a barrera fan who never recovered from hating Pacquiao because of the 1st fight.
I hated larry Holmes because i saw him beat up Muhammad Ali. I hated him and i was very Happy Michael Spinks got away in the 2nd fight.

Exactly, it's part of boxing.. mexicans hated de la hoya when he first beat Chavez eventually most grew to like him.. some still hate him, it happens

I don't hate Pacman in the slightest, I think he is a great ambassador for the sport i love and I wish there were more of him. BUT, on sunday when the inevitable Floyd talk began, I said that because of the style matchup I think Mayweather will stop Pac late on and for that I was attacked by the Pactards asking what I was smoking and the usual shit I hear on here if you dare to say Pac won't beat someone.
