Manny's last fight? I doubt so. Smells more like a promotional lever to me than anything else.
One needs to realize that Roach is the loudmouth, negative voice of the Pacquiao camp. This is in order to protect Manny's sparkling image... he's pretty much in politics already :D
If PAC beats Mayweather then I guess Manny should retire with this as his final fight if he loses then fight Marquez for a 3rd time to go out with a great win on his LEGENDARY career.
Would a 3rd Marquez fight be great for Pac? I mean, Floyd made him look so pedestrian. Certainly that prospect has lost a good deal of its luster. I say retire without fighting Marquez again just to chap his ass. Marquez is nowhere near the draw Manny is.Quote:

Floyd is no fool. He couldn't KO Marquez and Cotto didn't have enough behind his punch, what would make Floyd possibly think he'd have a chance to KO Manny? Let's say the fight purse is worth $30 Million. A 60/40 split is $18/$12. $6 Million in difference. The bigger the purse the wider the difference in earnings. At 40 it's 24/16, At 50 its 30/20. I actually like Manny to fight Nate Campbell but I don't think Nate deserves a fight with Manny he is NOT WORTH IT.
I can see both fighters retire after this fight as there would be nothing bigger.

Why does everyone think that this will only be one fight?
Look at the money involved, even more could be made in a rematch especially if the first one is good/close, a trilogy is very possible. The only other fight for pac really is one final fight with marquez.
