That's because in his previous fights (since becoming a boxing superstar), none have been this close to 50/50 in negotiations. The only recent one in which he got the smaller end was De La Hoya/Mayweather in which he bagged about 10mil and Oscar, about 25m. At the time Oscar was obviously the bigger draw (and + promotional duties) got the Mexican American the much larger purse.Quote:
