Well just putting it up.sloooooow night and not much going on.Will try to stay focused but bottles being tilted.Hey...its Friday night and its live action.I'll take it
first up we have 8 rounds-unfefeated Welterweights-
Said El Harrick 8-0 (3) vs Leonard Lane.......both out fast and Lane drops Said with a NASTY left hook midway through the round after Said takes first part.
Lane was ALL over him to end 1st round...scored another KD along the ropes and El Harrick struggled up.Staggered in corner and on unsure feet going back to corner.Huge round for 9-0 Lane.First time on the deck for El Harrick apparently.Mike McCallum working his corner.Second round begins
WOW...absolutly terrible call by ref half way through second round.Lane coming forward and missing as much as landing off two good rights...ref steps in and waves it off in odd manner with a VERY distraught El Harrick yelling...collapsing to canvas head down.Protect yourself at all times but bad timing....stopped 1:38 second round...crowd indifferent and El HArrick on stool.
2nd fight seems a bit of a padder for upstart hopeful Jr.Middle Shawn Porter 11-0 (9) as he goes against lanky Jamar Patterson 8-0 (4) in 8 rounder.Patterson off 16 month layoff.Dont blink.
Porter has looked chunky in past but starting like he smells it early...Patterson being caught on end but with standing...Not much working his way in from Porter but showing jab,smothers and a little hook happy...triple shots from Porter at rounds end and Patterson reaches out to hold as Porter bounces off to his corner.
Round 2 and Patterson finding himself a bit.Lands left/right on Porter,chopping right hook...not much of a jab from Patterson...trying to match jab but Porter has good volleys...starts long and ends inside...posing from Porter and Patterson surviving.Beer me
round 3
bit of gamesmenship from Patterson...mugging at Porter but Porter ripping combos...Nasty double left hook from Porter and lands clean...Pattersons best combo is punch-clinch-hold...double jab from Porter to body/head very fast hands...Patterson cut over right eye along ropes,motions to ref...Porter starting to pick shots.Wow....beer the crickets also ;D
Porter is ALL combos....a little eratic but a fun one to watch.Remind me ever so slightly of a Mosley...fa.........OHHH Patterson just had the ceiling fall in on HIM :fight:.HUGE left hook drops him flat on his back in round 3.He gets up but Porter follows up and ref waves it off along ropes.Brick right there.Way to close the show!
Nice hook. His head bouncing off the canvas did more damage than the punch.
Nasty shot and ending...totally selected that one.Patterson served a purpose.Porter has more teeth than his mouth will allow :-X but will be good TV.
meh, this sucks, I can't get the stream to work for some reason. Isn't Porter the one that got some notice for sparring with Manny?
