Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
Wake up and smell the coffee, they never qualified for the CL and will be hard pressed to get anyone truly world class.
Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
Fully expect Jose M to arrive ;)
I can see Gerrard and Torres bot going too.
Torres says he wants to go back to Spain sooner or later but £300k a week should iron that out ;D
Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
They are not going to waste a year of their career in the Europa League after coming back from the world cup no matter what the money.
Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
No offence but this is one of the stupidest threads I have read on here.
Why are you saying 'So you're Man city, money is no object..."? Why not say - what would be your World XI? I can only assume that you are a Manchester City fan and as daft as the next one. If you truly believe that 'money is no object', you live on cloud cuckoo land, the same as all of the other City fans.
Man City are a football club and they have a business plan so money is an object to them. They can't just sign 'anyone' as you seem to imply. A few of the 'big names' will be leaving in the summer anyway - Tevez will definitely be off as he is a mercenary and will end up at Real Madrid - and no top player will want to play in the Europa league ffs - Kaka proved this and then Man City had the cheeky to say that he 'bottled it' - what a bunch of imbeciles. The fact that some of their fans actually believe that players like Torres and Terry will want to join them just goes to show why they are a a laughing stock and have been for many years now.
Just because they have come into a bit of money, the club and the fans seem to think that they are one of the biggest clubs in the world at the moment and it is laughable to be honest. Somewhat arrogant too and they just go to show, money can't buy you success. £176m and they didn't even quality for the Champions League.
34 years.
Oh, for the record, I apologise if you are not a Man City fan but the tone of the thread seems to suggest so. If not, as I said, you should've just asked for a World XI. ;)

It was a joke thread and you really have the Kop up your ass. ;)
Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
Well... when they have a fortune estimated 40 times higher than Roman Abramovitch... I wouldn't say that money is a concern for them. Plan or not, they can derogate if they want and spend 200-300 millions day and night and the Sheiks wouldn't even notice. Thus said, I am certain they will make it very profitable in the middle time, these guys obviously have tons of experience in business and management but the club could lose money for the next 20 years and it would be still without debts if they want.

I think they would notice to be honest and I would love to know where you get your information that they are 40 times richer than Abramovich. the Al-Nahyan family’s total holdings are said to be worth at least $26 billion (about £14.4 billion) and Abramovich is said to be worth £10bn. They are obviously a fair bit richer than him but they WOULD notice if they spent £200m every few months.
Not having a dig but Garry Cook (as much of a joke as that clown is) even said last year that they can't be spending as much as they did last summer every year and that they will have to 'budget' - albeit, they may have a larger budget than most.
Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
10 times richer apparently, I exaggerate a bit. The thing is that it's not only one family that did buy it, it is a few together with those you names as the spearhead of the whole thing: Our Billionaire Is Richer Than Your Billionaire - OhmyNews International
