do you recall any recent good to great heavyweight fights...?
i've pretty much lost interest in the heavies over the last few years... but i'm wondering if the heavyweight division's supporters wouldn't mind listing the last 10 good to great heavyweight fights that they can remember. i'm curious to see what we can come up with.
i liked the klitchko v lewis fight but i can't think of any really good ones since (altho i'm sure there must have been some...)
Re: do you recall any recent good to great heavyweight fights...?
I uhhhhh well. You see there's this hole, you see. And this hole is really really deep. Even worse no one knows where it is and it is rumored to be a dark place. And THAT is where all the heavyweight talent went.
When James Toney came in and almost won a heavyweight title as a fat ass middleweight (very very skilled and all; don't get me wrong). I knew that we were in the middle of the dark ages. I feel like we will look back on this era when we are older and wonder how that void existed.
Toney - Peter 1 was ok
Arreola - Witherspoon was ok
I only saw highlights of Arreola - Adamek, but it looked good
Re: do you recall any recent good to great heavyweight fights...?
Liakhovich-Brewster was the best heavyweight fight since Lewis-Klitschko in my opinion. W Klitschko-Peter was good as well. Ibragimov-Austin although sloppy was a decent scrap.
Re: do you recall any recent good to great heavyweight fights...?
I'm kind of in shock that my pick of Sergei-Brewster was taken. Tha was it, that fight had everything including Sergei's crazy ass trainer who is worth watching for alone.
Re: do you recall any recent good to great heavyweight fights...?
as mentioned brewster-lyakovich was awesome, pretty sure ruined both of them tho because neithers done anything significant since. more recently adamek arreola was dam good I thought, I actually just rewatched it yesterday, good back and forth action. Chambers-povetkin wasn't to bad if I remember right, with the exception of chambers running outa gas in the last few rounds.
Re: do you recall any recent good to great heavyweight fights...?
heavyweight division is horrible, has been ever since lewis retired:(
Re: do you recall any recent good to great heavyweight fights...?
Wladimir Klitschcko vs Samuel Peter
Samuel Peter vs Jameel McCline
Wern't bad fights they had plenty of knockdowns, and good comebacks which added to the drama.
Lamon Brewster vs Wladimir Klitschko an exciting come from behind KO.
Re: do you recall any recent good to great heavyweight fights...?
The standard might not have been very high but I enjoyed the Audlly Harrison-Sprot fight.
Great ending as well.
Also all of Martain Rogans fights are exciting to watch. If you want to watch a toe to toe brawl watch the Rogan-Skelton fight from a few years ago.Great fight.
Re: do you recall any recent good to great heavyweight fights...?
Harrison-Sprott was an awful fight bar the last round.
Haye v Barrett, Haye v Ruiz, Rogan v Skelton, Chisora v Williams.
All American HW fights are shite.
Re: do you recall any recent good to great heavyweight fights...?
Ettiene v Clay Bey was good

Both Bowe Golota fights were good too.
