Warren want's another Magnificent 7 type show on 11th December!!
Warren celebrates 30 years in the business on this date and he has said he is going to produce the best card of his career. :lickish:
He want's Del Boy in with Valuev!!!! I thought I read The beast had a serious injury and was out for long time?
But I think this German/British thing works with broadcasts going out in both countries last night. Here would be my line up for the next Magnificent 7:
Cleverly v Braehmer WBO 175 Title fight
Chisora v Valuev
Macklin v Sylvester/Barker( maybe not possible as Slyvester is out end of October ) IBF 160 Title fight
Brook v Jones WBO 147 Title fight
De Gale v Groves
Gavin v Woodhouse 140 Commomwealth Title fight
Mitchell v Rees 135 British Title fight
Now they would be my seven if possible with the two Sauerland lads giving it the German angle.
What do you think, then add to that Khan v Maidana on the same night WOWWWWWWW WHAT A NIGHT THAT WOULD BE!!!!
Re: Warren want's another Magnificent 7 type show on 11th December!!
Promoter Frank Warren is hoping that Matt Macklin, Nathan Cleverly and Kell Brook will all fight for world titles on December 11 at the ExCeL Arena, London.
Warren is planning another bumper card that night to celebrate his 30th year in boxing.
It will eclipse Saturday night's Magnificent Seven event in Birmingham.
On that show, Cleverly, Brook and Macklin all won by stoppage.
And Warren says their victories will pave the way for world title fights by the end of the year.
Both Brook and Cleverly's wins were in eliminators for the WBO titles at their respective weights.
And in regaining his European middleweight title, Macklin will only improve his already high standing with boxing's four world governing bodies.
After Macklin's win, Warren announced that the Birmingham fighter's next fight will be on one of his cards.
Macklin himself wants to face Germany's Sebastian Sylvester, although claimed he could beat anyone in the world at 160 pounds.
Brook and Cleverly do not have obvious opponents either - Manny Pacquiao is about to vacate the WBO welterweight title, while light-heavyweight champion Jurgen Braemer is under something of a cloud after a criminal conviction.
Derek Chisora's next fight could be against giant Russian Nicolay Valuev if promoter Frank Warren has his way.
He said he wanted the fight after Del Boy stopped Sam Sexton to unify the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles on Saturday.
Former WBA title holder Valuev is probably most famous for losing his belt to Londoner David Haye.
And Warren believes that Chisora could enjoy equal success against the 7' Beast from the East.
"I'm not saying it would be easy for Derek, but with his work rate and hand speed, he would give Valuev problems and win," said Warren.
"I want to talk to Valuev's promoter Wilfred Sauerland about it.
"He's only had 14 fights but he showed tonight his potential.
"The one fight I really want for him is Audley Harrison, but we obviously can't do that because Harrison is fighting Haye.
"But I would have made that in a heartbeat. There would only be one winner and that would be Chisora."
Enzo Maccarinelli could have a second career as a promoter, working alongside Frank Warren in Wales.
The Welshman's life as a boxer appears over after he suffered a brutal KO against Alexander Frenkel on Saturday night.
Dropped twice from wicked left hands in the seventh, Maccarinelli needed lengthy medical attention following the fight.
It was his fourth recent KO loss, and after great service to the sport, the former world champion will now retire.
But Warren immediately said he wanted him to remain in boxing.
"Enzo has shown great personal loyalty to me over the years, and I would like give him something back in return," said Warren.
"I want him to promote shows with me in Wales.
"Enzo is one of the nicest guys you could hope to meet, and he is a great ambassador for boxing."
All from Warrens site.

Looks pretty solid IMO, by the way Skel. The fighter Kell Brook is fighting, is that Mike Jones the american prospect ? that should be a good match up.

Yes mate he is number 2 for the WBO and Brook number 1.
But this is just my thoughts on possible fights nothing certain about it, but I think some of them look like they will get made have my doubts on some but if Warren want's to celebrate in style and the best card of his career needs some big big fights.

I could see Vitali wanting to knock out a few British heavies, so it could happen.
It could happen but not on this card, Vitali is two big a name to be on the big seven and Del Boy is going to out on the card on December 11th.
Also looks like Warren has built a little relationship with The German promoters who represent Valuev so I see where he is going with that Vitali would be difficult to make.

I remember reading that Valuev needed surgery on some sort of bone injury, but there's been quite a bit of talk recently over prospective opponents for him so maybe it wasn't as serious as first thought
That would be a quality card if he could put something together like that, and like you say with Maidana-Khan on the same night that would definitely be worth shelling out for.
Its also a nice touch that Warren wants Maccarinelli to help promote some of his cards. That was a brutal knockout last night and hopefully he won't be back in the ring again
Re: Warren want's another Magnificent 7 type show on 11th December!!
De Gale vs Groves will probably divide the masses pre fight. Whose eveyone got?
It's De Gale by a long way for me.

Chisora has only 14 fights there's no way he should be put in with Vitali!
I agree a fight with Valuev would likely but dull but I'd love to see Chisora do a better job than David Haye and steal some of his luster.
For me the best fight for Chisora is defintiely Tyson Fury. That would be a great, great domestic showdown imo.
Re: Warren want's another Magnificent 7 type show on 11th December!!
I don't know much about Warren, just that he gets a lot of flack and is not well-liked on the boards. But overall I thought he did a great job with this card and will watch future ones.
If anything, he is paying attention to the mma model and having a go at making boxing more exciting. Likely lining his pockets too, and I hope so because it appears last night was good for boxing and other promoters should take notice.
Re: Warren want's another Magnificent 7 type show on 11th December!!
Kell Brook vs Mike Jones..... Brook to the wolves there....... Brook hasn't fought anyone remotely close to being as good as Jones...

Warren said Brook will be fighting for the WBO Title in December Jones is the number two so he will have to fight him, and I wouldn't say it is throwing him to the wolves Jones looks good but very unproven good fight for Brook I say.

Your probably right pal. Just not taken by Brook at all....... And Mike Jones is pretty decent. Brook needs a decent measuring stick sooner or later. No point beating up domestic level opponents the whole time. He'll just end up like Junior Witter and fading into the ether.....

I totally see what your saying mate, I agree Brook has a weak resume for someone who has a British Title outright, I think it is great if that fight gets made similar to Pirog/Jacobs fight in many ways two young guns who have alot of potential going at it early in there career, I am liking Warrens new attitude he seems to be taking way more risks with his fighters.
I suppose he has to as he has no major world stars in there at the moment so he needs to rush the likes of Brook and Clev along.
