Thank You Ghost for starting this thread! We have been going back and forth on a row on the ARMY thread so I am glad we can put all this behind us. Regardless it doesn't do any good to get mad at someone on a forum. It doesn't do much good to get mad at any point in life.
Thanks to all of you who have been so kind as to pump your post count up on this little thread of acknowledgment for your most thankful poster.
In return, I promise only to produce the most insightful, kickass posts ever.
And yes, Ghost, I am only 27. Although I feel old and worn out already. It seems by the time you reach any of the goals you set for yourself, you are on your death bed trying to plan your estate. But everyday (so far), I wake up and have to continue to get shit done.
This thread does mean something to me, because I have very few friends. I have come to the realization that perhaps I just don't like people. Maybe some cool club was made I can never be admitted in to because I still have failed to understand why people watch NCIS or The Biggest Loser. Maybe I am the Biggest Loser. Maybe people just suck.
In middle school everyone was getting "bowl" haircuts. I thought these were insanely idiotic. History should have taught them that these were the same haircuts share-croppers and other peasants had to resort to because they had not the luxuries of leisure of the propertied class. I tried to point this out to my fellow students, who just kept getting girls and the adoration of their fellow class mates.
Then in high school, everyone wore extremely baggy pants. These seemed frightfully unpractical and again, I tried to point out the dangers of such pants -- be it from PTO on machinery to profiled by law enforcement. Again, the Booze not getting women. Well if that is what it takes, fuck the woman. I will pay for prostitute.
But let us not get bogged down in my bitter contempt for pop culture or any gathering of more than 3 people (sober or not): we shall rise to a greater calling. And that calling is the fellowship of the unincorporated township that is the Land of Saddo.
