No comments regarding Tomasz adamek vs kevin mcbride???
I saw the fight and was surprised that no one made a thread to discuss it (unless I missed something)
Does anyone want to discuss Adamek's recent performance?
Where you impressed?
Does his performance change your opinion for how he will do against Vitali (better or worse)?
I will start by saying that I think Adamek did as good a job as he could.
I think his skills are right on, but at the risk of beating a dead horse, I think he seemed too small, and that will likely be the deciding factor when it comes time for the fight with Vitali.
Re: No comments regarding Tomasz adamek vs kevin mcbride???
is kevin "bakin' a betty crocker vanilla cake" McBride still fightin? holy maackerel.
Re: No comments regarding Tomasz adamek vs kevin mcbride???
Adamek has heart and talent, but unless he is absolutely 100% dedicated to trying to outbox Vitali.....naaaaah even then he's in for a long night. IMO Vitali isn't the type of guy that has a fight get out of control from just 1 big punch or 1 big round from another fighter. Vitali is calm and collected and let's face facts Adamek couldn't KO Grant or McBride 2 guys known for getting hurt A LOT....he's not going to hurt Vitali unless Vitali hurts himself (that scenario is the most likely cause of a Vitali defeat IMO).
Vitali is a very dangerous fight for Adamek especially if Vitali actually sits down on a punch which he doesn't do all that much anymore.

I was not impressed. But then again, what would you expect from Adamek, he is not a KO machine known for his bone crushing power. What he will bring against Vitali is a skilled and in shape fighter with SPEED for 12 rounds (unlike most of Vitali's latest opponents).

Adamek is obviously quick and in shape, but the 12 rounds part is HIGHLY debateable due to Vitali's KO ratio and Adamek's natural size. Adamek COULD last 12 rounds if Vitali doesn't land anything significant but once again odds aren't supporting that happening.
Adamek has to stick and move, and no panic when hurt...he's got to have a plan of action for when Vitali lands and follow it no matter what. I think it's brave for Adamek to take this fight, but I don't see him having much of a chance at all I say Vitali's chances of winning the fight are about 98% to Adamek's 2%.

2% really Lyle ?
Thats fucking nonsense and you know it. Obviously, you've got to favor Vitali for his sheer size, power and reach. But the man is quite mechanical and getting up there in age.
Adamek proved that he does not "panic" when he's hit hard, seein as Arreola smashed on him a few times, and Golota connected as well, both big punchers.
I'd say Adamek has at least a good 30% chance of winning maybe more. He has good stamina and could outbox Vitali, but its going to require a lot of getin in and getin out and he could get caught on the way in with a big straight right hand.

No it's not nonsense because Adamek isn't known for his defense and well Vitali isn't known for losing rounds. It's not as if Arreola was blown out by Adamek...Tomaz scraped by with a Majority Decision.
I give Adamek 1.5% chance of winning by decision and a .5% chance of winning by stoppage....I'm not saying I'm certain Vitali will stop Adamek....well yeah, let's go with I'm CERTAIN Vitali will stop Adamek...sig bet?

Vitali will be 40 when he fights Adamek, and he won't bring the same punching power that used to knock his previous opponents out. He is not sitting down on his punches anymore (something that is happening with Tua) and if Adamek can neutralize Vitali's pawing jab, its a long night.
2%, come on, at heavyweight everybody has 2% chance. I would say its 70-30 in Klitschko's favor.

Sig bet that Adamek won't even go the distance when a nearly shot Shannon Briggs did ?
Okay I'll take that sig bet.
Granted your right Adamek does get hit more than he should, and is much smaller than Briggs, but he is a quick, good boxer.
Re: No comments regarding Tomasz adamek vs kevin mcbride???
I didn't watch Adamek - McBride because I didn't figure there was a hell of a lot to see, I do know from reading about it that Adamek won by UD.
Basically the McBride fight did nothing but keep Adamek active until his fight with Vitali in September, in regards to that fight: Adamek likely goes the distance with Vitali, but takes a pounding. Like someone said, unless Vitali injures inself, (another torn rotator cuff, or some such shit) Adamek has no chance of winning. I'm not saying Vitali will blow Adamek away, just saying I can't see any way Adamek can win, either by decision or a stoppage.
Re: No comments regarding Tomasz adamek vs kevin mcbride???
Adamek is fairly talented I guess but his presence in the heavyweight division is not remotely exciting to me.
I agree with Lyle, he has no chance against the Klitschko's whatsoever. He doesn't have a punchers chance, and Vitali will just be able to walk through him. He is durable and may survive, but only because he won't do anything to pressure Vitali and he will be able to coast to any easy, massively lopsided decision win.
If he tries to win he will get knocked out.
I don't really understand all the pluadits he gets, I mean he's had to go the distance with Kevin McBride and Michael Grant. His fight with Arreola was back and forth until Arreola's injury.
These kind of chump opponents are just fodder for the Klitschko's and all Adamek has shown to me is that he is slightly above that level.
Kevin Mcbride was lucky to get through the first round of Prizefighter, he hasn't won a fight since fucking 2006 and has been knocked out six times. I can't even see how he was considered a legit opponent for Adamek. He would be a soft opponent for even Tyson Fury. Going 12 rounds with him is frankly embarrassing for a supposed title hope.
Grant and Mcbride are appalling opposition for a supposed world title challenger. Are they even in the top 50?
Re: No comments regarding Tomasz adamek vs kevin mcbride???
Adamek has literally no chance against either Klitschko or (flame away, Lyle) David Haye. He's too small, he's not exceptionally fast, and he has very little power at this weight. What he's trying to accomplish is admirable, I guess, but he's doomed to fail. Vitali will spark him unless Adamek manages to run all night; even then he'll lose every round.
Hell, I even think Solis would beat him pretty badly.
Re: No comments regarding Tomasz adamek vs kevin mcbride???
Im Polish and would really like Adamek to win , but he doesnt have more than a 5% chance of winning. Vitali has never had a fight that he has been losing on points. So why should this one be different.
