Are you telling me this means there might be corruption and/or incompetence among the police in Brazil too?!?! Amazing!
Glad they came to that conclusion though.
hey as long as they're not just letting it go without further investigating the whole ordeal i'm all for it, it wouldn't be a bad idea to check up the whole Arguello "suicide" either
Re: Gatti's Death Ruled a Homicide by Investigators
This story sounds rather suspect to me.
One investigator is a television personality which is like Jesse Ventura being your main source in allegations of a 9/11 cover up, and the other, Paul Cioliono, who apparently has a great reputation because he worked on the Amanda Knox case. Seeing that case has been ballsed up so much that they are having to retrial I'm not sure that's a great reputation..:-\

Sure he COULD have chosen all that being drunk and maybe drugged up, but it doesn't make sense to me. Too much work, it takes too long to die, and it could fail at any point in his trying it.
I think Gatti got to the apt, wanted to continue the argument with Amanda who by that time had called someone over to handle Arturo. Somebody confronts Gatti and perhaps (just perhaps) the guy knows ju jitsu (the Brazilians are big on it) and chokes Arturo out, but doesn't let go and you've got yourself an accidental homicide. Hell it could go any number of ways.
Let me get this straight, are you blaming a Gracie for this?

Beyond Hilarious.
Man found dead under stairwell. Next to body is broken ligature and knocked over stool.
Is it -
a) suicide by hanging?
or
b) the work of a brazilian ju jitsu expert?
Hmmm......

Yeah a quick look at wikipedia shows that hanging is only the second most common form of suicide in America behind firearms. (incidently hanging is numner 1 in Brazil) Presumabely if he had been shot in the face then that would have been less suspicious to Lyle's trained eye.

There's "experts" that will testify that Kurt Cobain didn't shoot his own face off. If you pay people enough they'll find whatever you're looking for. Fact.
Man suffering from depression. Has drink and drugs history. Marriage in trouble. Goes on trip to repair marriage. Gets drunk. Attacks wife. Bystanders prevent him from attacking wife. Attacks bystanders. Bystanders take wife away. Man gets taxi home. Drinks half-a-dozen cans of lager. Clearly man is not in great mood.
Next morning man found dead. Broken ligature. Knocked over stool.
All the hallmarks of a suicide, right? Don't be silly!!! All the hallmarks of a homicide. Fact.

I googled the lead PI in this new investigation Paul Ciolono He's apparently also defending Amanda Knox against wrongful charge of murder, and some Effron Paredez guy who was supposedly wrongly convicted of murder 20 years ago.
He's either three times succesfully uncovered the truth in controversial cases or else he earns his money being the go to guy for those trying to dig stuff up to get convictions overturned or suicide verdicts overuled.
Apparently his fee@s start at $50,000 for the initial consultation...
I'm hedging more towards the moneygrabbing opportunist than the justice seeking truth bearer I have to say.

I think that we're gonna have to wait for the proofs to be shown as apparently, he did get some of the best experts that will show step by step why suicide was impossible (let's see the proofs and arguments, we shouldn't wait very long as it is due for the end of the month). One thing that leaked a while ago was that they made several tests using the exact same model of purse and it was ruled 100% out that Gatti could have hung himself with that kind of purse. Once again, we'll have to see if it was rumors or not but if that test has been really made, it is quite interesting.
I remember reading the Michael Baden's report from his own autopsy and in it he said that there were interesting bruises non declared in the first Gatti'sautopsy report by the brazilian coroners and in his conclusion, he said that he couldn'T rule out the murder hypothesis because there were too many unclear and dubious things in the autopsy.

To be fair - if I had to spend all day investigating the gorgeous Amanda Knox i'd find her innocent too.
Re: Gatti's Death Ruled a Homicide by Investigators
Fenster I'm with you on that mate. I posted as much on my facebook a few months ago but people thought I was sick. She's way too pretty to be a killer though. Killers are fat and ugly looking, like that cat bin woman. She's killed in her time, of that I have no doubt.
