Cotto/margarito faceoff full interview
one word to describe the interview, INTENSE! Cotto is the first fighter to finally address the handwraps right in Tony's face
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imyMWSU_AYI
the main thing that pisses me off is that he still either ignores questions or tries to spin them to another subject, Kellerman asked him a great question, If Tony said that he didn't feel the plaster in the wraps when he was getting his wraps done for the Mosley fight, how the hell does he know that he wasn't wearing them against Cotto? either way when it comes down to it, Margarito knew what he had on his fists, he knew that at the very least he tried to cheat against Mosley and still keeps a smug face throughout it all, he's to hoping that Cotto completely dominates him and finishes off what Pacquiao started when it comes to Tony's eye
Re: Cotto/margarito faceoff full interview
This is going to be a great fight, i am picking cotto to win this by late tko, i think the key is to get margarito to back up, if he can do that he will wear him down and take him out
Re: Cotto/margarito faceoff full interview
Good stuff.
If Margarito still has that chin I say he takes it again. Cotto can't handle pressure well and doesn't fight well off the back foot. Margarito by TKO in the late rounds. Sure I hope Cotto wins, it's just the style matchup isn't in his favor.
Re: Cotto/margarito faceoff full interview
Their first fight was my favourite fight in a long time
Which is unusual as it didnt involve a brit
I think cotto wins this one, UD
Re: Cotto/margarito faceoff full interview
Oh yea.. One can just feel the tension between the two. It was D best face-off yet..
ElTerrible, Cotto says that he's not willing to die in the ring unlike Margo is.. What do you make of that bro?

it's open for interpretation bro, Cotto's already been in plenty of fights that he's left it in the ring so it's not like he's a heartless cowards like some fighters for example Freitas, he just means that he's literally not willing to die in the ring for the fan's amusement because his family comes first, really analyze that and ask yourself if it's not the same thing that comes to mind when you think of fighters who go on longer than they should, for example Jones Jr, Holyfield, Ali, Tyson, etc., there's always a fine line between being a quitter and knowing when to say that it's enough

I dont have wife and kids yet but I can still see where Cotto is coming from. Im not going to question his heart based on that little comment but at the same time, that kind of mentality might not suit him well against a nutcase like Margarito who is willing to die for a victory.. know what I mean?

yea i get where you're coming from, but remember, heart alone doesn't win you fights, if not Gatti would have overtaken Ray Robinson's spot as greatest fighter ever
Re: Cotto/margarito faceoff full interview
If you die in the ring, your probably not going to win the fight, just saying, and def not coming back to fight again.
Re: Cotto/margarito faceoff full interview
That was great.
Cotto looks like he's shitting it a bit from Margarito.
Margarito looked like he would've killed him there and then if Max said go.
Re: Cotto/margarito faceoff full interview
This fight is going to be an HBO PPV on Dec. 3rd, but I think it will be worth the money. (if it's only $50) The undercard is stacked with good fights.
At New York (HBO PPV): Miguel Cotto vs. Antonio Margarito, rematch, 12 rounds, for Cotto's WBA junior middleweight title; Brandon Rios vs. John Murray, 12 rounds, for Rios' WBA "regular" lightweight title; Pawel Wolak vs. Delvin Rodriguez, rematch, 10 rounds, junior middleweights; Mike Jones vs. Sebastian Lujan, 12 rounds, IBF welterweight eliminator; Mike Lee vs. TBA, 4 rounds, light heavyweights.
I hope Cotto hands Margarito his ass, and I believe he will.
Re: Cotto/margarito faceoff full interview
Only if Rico Ramos-Rigo would have stayed on the card, it would have been a great card..
Now, it's just decent.

I'm not sure what you mean, but I thought Cotto did a good job in the face off and sounded confident.
If Cotto paces himself better, keeps the fight in the center of the ring, and/or keeps Margo backing up, he should take care of business this time. Cotto has come back well from his 2 losses, Margo has yet to prove that he has.
Re: Cotto/margarito faceoff full interview
Trinidad vs Margarito would have been something had they been in the same era
