Re: Mike Jones first defeat.
Mike Jones? WHO!?!?
K now that's out of the way..
it was Bailey nailing him with an uppercut from point blank range.
Jones was winning easily in a dull fight, left himself open and got blasted from point blank range and as hard as Bailey hits it would have knocked out anyone.
Re: Mike Jones first defeat.
It was a hard, nice uppercut that landed pretty solid.
Jones was out for a good couple for seconds and woke up. I'm actually surprised Weeks didn't stop the fight immediately.
Jones had been knocked down in the previous round. But the bell saved him IMO.

So do you think he will be able to mix it with the other top ten fighters still or do you think he has been over hyped.
Re: Mike Jones first defeat.
Ko of the night. Bailey wasnt even throwing that showing that shot for the 1st ten rounds. Great KO though.
I thought his chance had gone out the window after Jones survived the first KD and got back into the fight but amazingly Bailey managed to hit the jackpot twice in 1 fight. Never sen that before.
Re: Mike Jones first defeat.
Uppercut seemed to of broken Jones nose.

was about to just say this, if you watch the replay in slow mo you see his nose literally explode when the punch lands, he had a fountain of blood pouring out when his corner was checking on him, even had blood in his mouth, Bailey's power is crazy
Re: Mike Jones first defeat.
It was a big uppercut that broke Jones' nose. If you ever need to explain to someone what "having a puncher's chance," means, point them to this fight. It literally resurrected Randall Bailey's career.

I wouldn't necessarily go that far, bro. It was an amazing finish, and I couldn't be happier for Bailey. (Well... on 2nd thought Bailey was a lot happier than I was... he couldn't stop crying). But let's face it, Bailey's ancient by boxing standards, especially at that weight, and had not thrown much of anything throughout the whole fight. I look at it as more of it being Bailey's last hurrah.

Well, listen, it earned him a belt in the welterweight division, which probably means a pay day against a big name. I could see a fight with Kell Brook in England or a fight against Paulie Malignaggi. Maybe Amir Khan takes his chances against him. That's big money, and for Randall Bailey, it's probably a life-changer.

If hes got a belt now I could see Khan going for it.

I think the winner of Kell Brook v Carson Jones probably fights Bailey.

Yes and he deserves it for giving boxing fans so many thrills over the years with his inhuman one punch KO power.
I was rooting for Bailey and so happy for him when he scored that KO off last night.

Con would be on his bike as soon as they sign the fight
Re: Mike Jones first defeat.
I like Jones though he fights like a bit of a spaz. He did look like he was just waiting for the hammer to drop from early on. Bailey waited.....and waited or his shot and deserves everything he has earned off of it.
Jones needs to decide who he wants to be in the ring and stick to it.
