Saddo Boxing - Chat with a pro

This idea will probably fall flat on its face, but I think it's a good one regardless.

There are plenty of people on here who have contact with pro boxers, be it as friends or on Facebook or Twitter. I'm sure even a random tweet from the @Saddo twitter account to fighters would snare one.

I don't think it would be too hard to invite one of them on here to answer questions, especially an up and coming younger fighter looking to increase their fan base.

We could find out who the fighter is, get a load of questions in a thread and then they come along and answer them.

Would be a pretty cool experience if we got even one fighter on here to talk to us. Would also be good for the site.

Yeah would be cool that , would be good to ask some questions. I've been adding quite a few on twitter, had a few pros added me back. Peter fury added me before and Hennessy promotions did the other day. I like twitter it's pretty cool how u can read up on what's going on. I prefer it to Facebook anyway.

I have spoke to a couple of fighters on facebook i'm sure they would enjoy chatting on here.

Tony bellow likes to chat , he's good guy . Hopefully he can come on here .

I'd love to to pick Andre Wards brain and see when he decides to adapt to his opponent and..oh so much more. The man' is a joy to watch from a technical standpoint.

great idea mate getting the boxers should be really easy... I'll give it some thought on how to implant it so people can't just register to troll it ;)

We have to treat the fighters with respect and also tell them the truth whether they like to hear it or not.

Agreed Ward is a quality and under rated fighter, so is Dawson for making

I think @0james0 idea is a great one. Perhaps somehow collecting questions beforehand for someone like your good self to vet would be a good idea so that you can ok them before the posters who come up with said questions ask him live in a locked thread? I don't know how to eliminate trolling without a big virtual stick so maybe prevention is better than cure?

That is basically how I thought it could work, create the thread a week in advance, everyone posts their questions, thread gets locked, stupid questions get deleted, then pro comes and answers what is in there.

I posted this in the thread about Larry but I'll post it here as well :

"Well, I've spoken to Larry and he has agreed. So, if you want to start this "Ask the Pro" thread thingy with a controversial corker, he's up for it. Let me know Saddo or whoever will be in charge."

I have explained to him that all questions will be moderated and that troll questions will be removed. I'm not doing this to have my friend exposed to bullshit/sarcastic questions so please remain respectful if you want this to happen.

That's if you do want it to happen anyway - It's up to the good people of Saddo. Let me know.
