I know styles make fights but Vitali's rating of what happened on saturday holds a lot of stock for me, being the only world class guy to fight chisora.
The biggest problem with the Klitschko's, MR Bernd Boente has basically said the fight is highly unlikely although I saw someone ask Vitali himself last week and he just siad lets wait and see what happens.
My thought is he doesn't want Vitali in with Haye right now but I think Vitali is too proud and I see Charr losing his shot to Haye. I hope the Klits then sack and beat the shit out of the little bastard. One of my favourite ever episodes of Ringside was when they got both him and Booth on and Booth proved him to be a lying twat.

I personally think Haye needs to beat Vitali to even make that fight possible to sell. That in itself will not be easy so to even be thinking about Wlad right now would be a mistake.

i dont agree, it would be even bigger if haye had beaten vitali but either way it will be a massive fight
still the biggest fight you can make at HW aside from perhaps vitali haye

I'm not saying there is a bigger fight out there (barring Haye vs Vitali) but if they do it again they need to make people believe that it can be closer this time. As it stands should the fight be made today Wlad would be huge favourite. If Haye can somehow get a shot at and beat Vitali (who some people wrongly IMO think is still the better brother) then the fight would be huge again and Haye would have a belt to add to the deal and the division could be fully unified.
Re: Any word from Vitali?
Vitali is fighting Charr then might retire providing he wins his election....if he doesn't win the election then the fight is more likely to happen.
I would rather Haye fight someone else, because I just don't see him being active vs Vitali when he was cautious and ran away like a little girl from "the chinny brother". Haye vs Mitchell, vs Arreola, vs Adamek....those are better because I think they are fights that Haye would be more aggressive in. Vitali would kick Haye's ass and Wlad has only gotten better so I just see that as a dead end for David.

Vitali is getting slower by the second though Lyle. Above all else I think Wlad shocked Haye with how quick he was out of the way (i think you refer to it as running when Haye does it). That would not be the case with Vitali and the counters would be much more available.
Mitchell wouldn't see the second round with Haye and Arreola and Adamek would be schooled too.
Re: Any word from Vitali?
So says you...an Old Vitali is still a dangerous Vitali and seeing how David doesn't go to the body then I find it highly unlikely that the 6'3 Haye lands on the 6'8 Vitali who leans back like he's getting ready to limbo. Slow as Vitali may be his size & style will have a drastic affect on Haye's punch output....meaning it will head back to the 12-14 punches a round mark.
Did you see how wild Chisora was swinging? Mitchell is a better boxer than him, in fact I would not mind seeing Mitchell vs Chisora next. Adamek & Arreola are also better than Chisora at blocking punches and not flailing about like a damn Toughman competitor.

I thought Chisora was very negative until he started to get really hurt and then his punches were very wild yes but they were also very wild against Vitali too. I'd take Chsiora to wipe the floor with Mitchell though. I just really don't rate this guy at all!
Re: Any word from Vitali?
Haye threw a lot more body sgots against Chisora than I've seen in a while.
I think you're right Lyle, Haye will likely be negative against Vitali. The thing is that when 'ran' against Wlad, Wlad had the footspeed and timing to keep up and the speed on his jab and cross to catch Haye coming in and deter him from trying:o
I really Haye under estimated Wlad's speed.
Vitali on the other hand, was always the slower of the two and you've got to wonder when time will finally catch up.
I'd like to see him fight Vitali. Wlad? No... He'd need more fights to deserve it as he was so comprehensively beaten.
I hope he fights on, theres good fights for him out there and if Vitali does retire he should chase his belt.
I don't want to see Haye retire again. As a fan I'd have to question his heart if he pulled a coward move similar to Hamed by losing a shut out on points and then dissapearing.
Re: Any word from Vitali?
Haye cannot sustain the pace for 12 rounds, that's his big problem. He was totally gassed against Del Boy. Even 3 or 4 mins after the end of the fight he was gulping for air all the way from his diaphram.

haye has as much change against wlad as mitchel, areola and adamek have against haye
Re: Any word from Vitali?
Solid post Adam, I actually agree with a lot of it.
Vitali is not as mobile as his once was, but he's no slouch either. Vitali has the ability to stand close to damn near anyone and pull back and roll to where he's damn near unhittable...and in keeping his lead arm low he's not all that open for body shots either. In fact Vitali's reflexes or reaction time is still so good that if a fighter does throw to the body Vitali is already throwing the right cross to the head....I've not seen anyone with Vitali's style ever....maybe Jack Johnson but even then it was different.
If Haye woud just shut the fuck up and fight more often then MAYBE I would cut him some slack. I would not mind one bit if Haye fought more often and earned his way back to a title shot, the more depth in the heavyweight division the better. If Haye fought more often then his shit talk probably wouldn't bother me as much, it's just the whole "Yeah, I'll bloody whup your arse in 2 years" bullshit I get fed up with.
