I hate Bob Arum too. Donaire/Mares is a cracking fight. Arum makes money, GBP makes money, the fans have fun. But no, Bob Arum is a cunt and won't stand for that kind of crazy talk.
I have suggested before that I would like him to die. That was my moderate view. I would actually prefer someone to play xylophone on his ribs with a baseball bat and then allow him to die in slow, agonising pain over a couple of days in a dry arid desert wasteland with Donald Trump for company.
Just make decent fights you horrid, wrinkled, red faced old Shylock and then people wouldn't hate you so much. Are you short of money or something?

Hey man, I'm good. I still float about here from time to time. Haven't watched as much Boxing as I used to because I'm fed up of crap like this. Seriously I wish Dana White had a hand in Boxing because then maybe the best would fight the best.

It's people like him that have reduced boxing to a "cult" sport. This is why the UFC is more popular than boxing. The best fight the best consistently.

Its nothing new Arum is one of the Godfathers in it. A hoarding of a promotions top earners and doing his damndest to make sure it lasts, keep it all in house. King was the same and between the two fans lost out.
Frankly in many cases its not a fighter ducking someone its the promotion. Contracts are a biznicth.

It's a little early in the day for Arum to be drawing a line in the sand. Having said that if the roles were reversed Oscar would be doing the same thing. Donaire is the money pit for the division and probably in the top five draws in boxing. Mares on the other hand could not draw earthworms to a shit party. When and if serious talks begin say by the middle of next year Arum will probably give him a low ball offer.

Donaire VS Nishioka - 6,203
Mares VS Moreno - 6,341
Neither of them are huge draws but if this event was promoted on a big scale Mares would draw more Latino fans than Donaire could draw out Phillipino fans.
