Can Juanma Lopez beat Takashi Uchiyama?
It's weird because I was never a fan of Juanma until I saw him lose to Salido for the second time..
Even in defeat, what touched my heart was how he handled himself during the fight. He came out with a plan to box but when that didnt work, he said the hell with this crap and went back to his brawling mode.. Dude was getting tagged constantly in the first half of the fight so for him to start brawling takes mad cojones. To make a decision like that in the middle of a fight takes a huge heart and that fight got me choked up for some reason.. That performance turned me into a Juanma fan forever!!
People say Juanma is done but I say that's bullshit cuz dude is still young and only has two losses by the same opponent! It could simply be a case of a fighter having the number of another fighter so whose to say that Juanma is finished? Physically he's fine imo, it's just in his mindset..
Juanma claims that he still wants to fight Gamboa and i actually think it's a winnable one considering how Gamboa has a shitty defense and gets tagged and dropped by almost everybody he fights.
What if Juanma were to go to Japan to take Takashi's title?? that would really put him on the map again..
And remember when Caballero wanted to face him so badly?? Who wins today??
How many of u are fans of this bad ass Rican Juanma??

I still root for JuanMa to win. He's got enough heart for two fighters, putting to bed VD's moronic comments nobody pays attention to anyway. But back to JuanMa, he needs to pull a Cotto. That is, he needs to reinvent himself to make himself better.... maybe get himself a better trainer. He's got the power, and he's got the boxing skills in there somewhere. That's how he first started out, fighting smart. Short, powerful punches.... attention to defense.... methodical approach to taking his opponents apart. Then he fell in love with his own power, and forgot the rest. Plus, fighting in Puerto Rico is never good for him. He forgets strategy and goes for the impressive knockout, egged on by the crowd.
I root for him to win, but he's got to change his mindset.

Like always you post a bunch of irrelevant bullshit that nobody gives a fuck about and fail to answer the actual question. Anyway, the answer is no. Uchiyama is a very underrated fighter. He's on another level than Lopez. Lopez would get slaughtered
Re: Can Juanma Lopez beat Takashi Uchiyama?
Juanma is trash and cannot pull a Cotto. Juan Ma got beat by a fighter he should of KO'd TWICE. Meanwhile Cotto got cheated by Margarito and then came back and whooped his ass in awesome style. Juan Ma isn't half the fighter Cotto was man. I think Juan Ma will be an average boxer kinda like a Marco Rubio. He'll be a good gate keeper.

Yes he should have (beaten Salido). But JuanMa has not yet shown he can re-invent himself. I'm not counting him out yet, although the beatings he took were fearsome and may have left a lingering effect. But it's up to him. He's still got the tools. And again... unless he puts his career in the hands of a dominant, competent trainer.... I agree, he's going nowhere.

You even see his last fight? What tools you think he still has? Stop sucking his dick already and accept the fact that Lopez is done as a championship fighter. Lopez himself knows it. it's the reason his dumbass is still trying to talk up a fight with Gamoba. A fight in which he would get slaughter. He's looking to cash out

Cotto may be a wiser fighter than Juanma but that's where it ends..
He doesn't have the heart and the balls of steel of Juanma. No Homo btw.
Cotto is sort of like a half buster, even got on his knees in the face of Margarito. And dude has a history of getting on his bike or resorting to some other BS when the going gets tough.
Juanma on the other hand is all gangster man.. He has no bitch in him.

Re: Can Juanma Lopez beat Takashi Uchiyama?
Anyways, no. Lopez absolutely does have balls but that's not going to get him anywhere from here, he's a stupid fighter who would've already made some major adjustments if he was ever going to.

The only dick-sucking done in this forum is by you, fucking moron. Have someone read the post to you again, dumbass. Unlike you, I'm capable of posting objectively on a local fighter. "Objectively". It includes both the good AND the bad. No need for a dictionary. You, on the other hand, shamelessly root for your ghetto Mexican fighters whether they cheat, quit, or otherwise embarrass themselves and the sport of boxing.
To answer your question, punk..... he's still got power. Is power a tool? Yes? Then get outta my face, gangsta wannabe. Limit yourself to what you know best..... absolutely nothing.
