I always loved this cause its so menacing and threatening. Its like the movie it captures running the train lines in big citys in the early hours.

The whole soundtrack to the film Amalie captures Paris and its quirky nature,the romance ,reflections off rainy streets, the smells and scurrying are there in the music.
This is just one that paints a picture;

For many reasons. The perfect match. The sense of time and British noir that it evokes. The audacity of using a harpsichord for Jazz ;D
You can not talk about movie themes without including Bernard Herrmann without whom many Scorcese and Hitchcock films would not be the same
First from the original J.Lee.Thompson "Cape Fear" that Scorcese remade with Elmer Bernstein re -arranging Hermanns terrifying score.
