The press scores show just how bad the scoring was on this fight even before the ref made a big error by jumping in and stopping the fight
my card is also on the site along with the 46 press scores and a press average score
for 2 judges to have this 4-4 in rounds is wrong

That really is a disgrace, people will say its irrelevant because of a stoppage but it isn't. its fundamentally wrong.
We are seeing way way too much of this lately and it needs to be looked at and sorted asap.
I had it 78-73, 6-2 in rounds with the extra point for the knockdown.
Bang on for me too. ANd one of the rounds for Froch could easily have been a 10-10 round. Think round 6 you could make a case for a 10-8 to Groves too, landed a lot of very heavy shots, very one sided.Quote:

i dont think it was that bad. i had it 5-3 after the 8th round. also, one of those rounds i gave to groves could have gone to froch. although groves was doing better all around, round by round, i could see it being even without counting the knockdown.

With respect to the two judges who had Froch only one point behind the mind boggles. Groves was two points up going into the second round, and by the end of the eighth Froch was one point behind, that means Froch won 4 of the 7 rounds from 2 to 8. I would be astonished if anyone could find a judge who could find 4 of those rounds for Froch. This is just fixing, pure and simple.
On Sky the BBBoc rep was only questioned about the stoppage, which he answered with all the usual safety bollox. The questionable stoppage, together with, more significantly, the ridiculous scores recorded by two of the judges, should be investigated fully. There is a fearful stink about this whole fight, meanwhile Hearn bigs it up as an opportunity for a big money rematch - in your dreams - your punters aren't as thick as you think!
Groves should tell Hearn to shove it, get back with Adam Booth and sign with Golden Boy or another US promoter.
its not that hard. it just means that each had 4 rounds scored for them which is debatable but nowhere near a fixed score. i think that this fight got people into a wrong mindset at the very beginning. since groves hurt froch in the first round, and then proceeded to do well, then it was like everybody started focusing on groves and the damage he was doing rather than what froch was doing. froch had rounds where he was landing good shots and doing some damage. the 9th round didnt just happen because of one lucky punch. froch was breaking him down the whole fight. for example, the second round was pretty clearly froch's round but since the KD was still fresh on everybodys mind, people scored it for groves. it felt like that was the whole fight though. watch it again and then you will realize that froch has a few good rounds.Quote:

So what happened with this fight? Froch just totally underestimated the kid?
