George Groves next opponent
If you ignore the fixed result of Groves Froch, and take it as a Groves win, who should he fight next? Stieglitz, Chavez, Ward or maybe even Kessler (who's itching for a friendly rematch with Froch for big mug punters money).
Given his rate of improvement I think he should go straight for Ward, Is there a promoter out there who will front it up for George? C'mon everybody, we have a world champ beater here who is not getting promoted!!!!
Fuck a Froch rematch, he's beaten him already!
Sorry to sit on the fence
Re: George Groves next opponent
i would be fine with a ward fight. maybe get a fight with bika for a belt. that would be a good scrap.
Re: George Groves next opponent
if george would have avtually won he could have picked virtually anybody to fight
win or lose tho i think bika would have been a good choice
Re: George Groves next opponent
I think froch damages his reputation if he runs from George, let's face it froch claimed he would win easy against a guy who is not world class.
Then when groves gave him hell , Froch then claimed it was his mistakes why groves looked so good.
So why not rematch george and fight your fight then in your eyes it's an easy fight for you Carl ?
Simple fact is no rematch means froch is running like a pussy.

i like this idea, in some way manipulate it it so he fights one and then the other and froch doesnt get a look in
Re: George Groves next opponent
He needs to fight Froch again before he even thinks about a big fight with Ward, ect. Because bad stoppage or not, he got knocked out. That's the bottom line and that's what goes into the record books.
He needs to avenge that loss.

How can he when Froch won't give him a rematch? The only fight Groves is calling for is the rematch. And he wasn't 'knocked out', he was mugged by a referee.
Re: George Groves next opponent
Bad decisions and stoppages happen all the time in boxing. It goes down as a loss regardless. He needs to keep trolling Froch and get the W. That's the only way to erase the loss.

If Groves can get a shot at another title, he should forget about Froch. For 8 rounds he gave him a beating and outclassed him, yet 2 of the judges had it even apart from the knockdown!!! My fear is that if they rematch, it'll be more of the same and Froch will get a smelly decision, which won't be good for Boxing. If he wins another title, he doesn't need Froch. Groves will improve more than Froch will , that's natural, and Froch will need him more than he needs Froch.
Basically, Whoever Froch fights next, he gets beat, end of.
Re: George Groves next opponent
I say Froch knocks this turkey out again in a rematch.
Re: George Groves next opponent
Froch is a free agent he should sign up with Hennessey and fight De Gale rematch on channel 5 on the under card Tyson Fury.

Don't you mean Groves is a free agent? Bit of a typo there! Ironically the only reason Groves 'lost' the fight was that Hearn shit himself after round 1 and got to the officials, he could see Groves walking away from him with two world titles and Froch, his cash cow, left with none.
And aside from that if I was a fighter who'd just battered a two time non alphabet world champion appearing on the undercard of some pikey wouldn't attract!!!

Record books show a TKO, video evidence shows Groves beating the shit out of him. He didn't "knock him out". He was stopped while still throwing punches back. Hardly a stoppage to be proud of.
C'mon @Beanflicker, if Froch himself thought he could beat him, he'd sign for the rematch instead of walking away from it. I say Groves will finish him if he gets back in there.
