alright so I have most of this trip planned. I will be visiting the following cities in this order
London (plus day trip to Stonehenge)
Norwich
Cambridge
Warwick
Oxford
Windsor
London
Out.............
I plan on using public transit in London and renting a car for the rest.
Come to Wolverhampton or Birmigham and I will meet you. :)
Your longest drive there shouldn't be more that a couple of hours. What is in Norwich?

As Ryanman says Brighton is a notorious place for gays.
No offense but unless it's for work that is a pretty random set of places to visit if you are coming all the way to the UK. Do you have friends and family in them or are there specific things you want to see?Quote:

Like smashup says, for getting around London itself you can't beat the Oyster card, access to all the buses and the tubes, and you don't have to worry about calculating what the cheapest way to get around is, either a travel card or single ticket etc, it does the maths for you. As you say, based on the prices of trains today it is probably cheaper to rent a car, and long distance coach routes are just a pain in the backside to find.
