Let Bob have him if he's ready for the senior circuit. He doesn't seem interested in the young lions at GBP.
Guerrero is waaaay overrated. His contract argument looks sketchy to me but gbp arent really losing anything if he goes.
He's probably been told he can fight Pacquiao if he signs with TR.
Guerrero better not be a diva and think because he fought Floyd, he is a super star. He needs to start from scratch and earn his ranking because his effort against Floyd was terrible.
Guerrero says the only fight he was offered was Thurman on the Maidana-Broner undercard. He obviously doesn't fancy Thurman.
I understand that point of view to an extent. It's tough to go from fighting Floyd for multi-millions to fighting a young up and coming tough guy in Thurman for much less money.
Guerrero, for some reason, thinks he deserves fights with the Floyd's of the world. He didn't deserve the Floyd fight in the first place. His claim to fame at this point is a win over Berto. Really?
Truth is though that Guerrero would mix well with Provo, Rios, Alvarado etc. Any of those fights are appealing.
Hey, who would you fellas like to see Guerrero fight?
Roach wants pac to face guerrero instead of bradley.... I agree
FREDDIE ROACH SAYS HE PREFERS GUERRERO OVER BRADLEY FOR PACQUIAO BECAUSE HE'S A FORMER MAYWEATHER OPPONENT || FIGHTHYPE
i have never liked guerrero. he is always running his mouth like he is actually significant in boxing but he is a good fighter at best. he has a few solid wins but no great wins and got easily beaten by mayweather (which isnt necessarily a bad thing). he in no way deserves a pac fight and there are a ton of fighters at 140 and 147 that he can and should fight instead. he has to prove himself to even be a top 5 in either of those weight classes. right now, im not sure he is.
I feel a little bad for him. He's more an overachiever then overrated. The guy has worked pretty hard and had he accomplished what he has in other eras he would be most likely in the bigger fights of the day. Not many people throughout history have been able to make that jump from 35 to 47 and have the success he had. I would imagine he feels a little slighted and a bit like a Gbp patsy/gate keeper. Its a pretty sad state that now it seems people do not even have options in their own house. Lara must be at the end of his rope trying to get Alvarez.
I've been touting Lara for a long time but I think he understands his value. He's a tricky fight for anyone but not entertaining to some so he doesn't sell. I think he's okay with that. I'm sure he'd like to get a Canelo fight but getting a few hundred thousand here and there isn't something to pity. I don't think Lara is pulling his hair out because he has perspective.
Guerrero on the other hand feels entitled. He was offered fights, and good fights at that. He just doesn't want them. Think back to pre-Floyd Guerrero went around shooting his mouth off and we were like okay but what has he really done. His mouth got him his shot and he was outclassed. He seems to think he's entitled to another big payday and he wants to skip working for it. At least last time while he talked he went out and beat guys. Now he's skipping that part. You want to go fight Pac, fine, but beat a Garcia or beat a Thurman to get there.
