I was so pumped to go see Gonzalez-Mares at Staples but since Mares fucked up everything, this is the second best option.. But knowing Arum, I wont hold my breath for the undercards..

Just pumped to see boxing back at the Forum. Used to love those Tourneys they put ogether and aired there. Garcia should do a number on Gamboa but it'll be fun.

I think Garcia is too precise for Gamboa :) both are a little chinny so could produce some drama :D

My inside sources from Banner promotion think that Gamboa has the style to get garcia off his rhythm..

gamboa is fast but he is way too easy to be hit. garcia will easily capitalize.

Gamboa has looked like shit in at least his last two fights. Hard to see any other outcome than a Garcia win.

Arum only has headliners. He can't EVER put together a decent card. Golden Boy is the top-full-card carrier.

Gamboa has one of the worst cases understanding his own range and Garcia has one of the best... This will be an Easy UD for Garcia if Gamboa can't win inside of 3rds as Mikey uses those rounds to learn.

GARCIA UD - Gamboa stops taking risks in the middle rounds and coasts to a well deserved loss.


I'd personally be interested in a Donaire Vs Garcia instead

All of this depends on if Gamboa comes up under-conditioned. Which may not be the case. Gamboa may be able to bring the heat for at least 8 full 3 minute rounds.

I hope Gamboa can win this, it is a quality fight.

Agreed.. garcia wins easily was my initial thought but I look back and realize many great mexican fighters have hard time when up against slick black boxers..

1 fight in 2012, 1 fight in 2013 and 1st fight in 2014 v Garcia? Gamboa is going to get destroyed. I think hes going to take a nice payday here and retire.

You may be right but garcia has never fought anyone with exceptional speed, movement, and the power of Gamboa.. looking at his record, he's fought a bunch of bangers who stood right in front of him ..

Gamboa has been boxing and using the ring a lot more lately .. garcia is gonna get some new looks in this fight and he might have to work a little more for a victory..
