What IF Maidana ko's Floyd?
... just what if? How would this change the landscape??
Re: What IF Maidana ko's Floyd?
I think a more relevant question would be could Floyd stop Maidana?

Could Floyd take a Maidana punch? He is very certainly the hardest punching Welter-Jr Middle in the business. Can Floyd, like Broner, take a Maidana punch- flush on and come back?

Do you think Maidana is the biggest puncher Floyd has faced? He has gone into the ring with Cotto & Canelo, one of those two may punch as hard or harder than Maidana

He is not that big a puncher my friend. He lost much of his power when he jumped to 147. He would never fight at 154. Well he could I suppose. This is a 147 fight. Floyd probably hits as hard as he does.

Either Cotto or Canelo most likely wrecks Maidana and stops him.
Oscar was def a bigger puncher when he fought Floyd than Maidana is.

Naw he did take it, he hung on for dear life after he was buckled and held on as old man shane punched himself out. But I doubt maidana lands anythiing significant. floyd wont stand around like broner

We'd finally see the Pacquiao fight....

All hell would freeze over.
Re: What IF Maidana ko's Floyd?
Haven't we sped past the Broner-Mayweather comparison and the relevance of how each did-will do against an opponent ??? Floyd let him keep the T shirt, thats enough already.
Broner weighed his strategy and approach on excepting power by light hitters...then it blew up in his face when he had zero adjustment and answer. Mayweather knows getting hit is flat stupid and has exelled at an actual game plan to avoid it.
Its like comparing Gumby to Godzilla because both are green.

Re: What IF Maidana ko's Floyd?
It would be like no decline ever seen before in a fighter over one outing. Maidana is not some knockout puncher, especially at 147. Floyd has fought half a dozen guys with more power and imo about 20 guys with more ability to hurt him, which is what matters. This is a cakewalk for Floyd, it's just a matter of whether he'll get the stoppage as Master said. I think it could even be a matter of whether he decides to.
