Broner is going to 140 and Khan is going to fight at 147 so that stops that fight from happening for the time being. I think this a 147 test Khan needs to see if he can compete at the weight. Luis is no mug and it will be a good fight.
Surprise,Surprise ! He goes from fighting the King of the World, to a guy who scrapes into the top 20. Collazo is a tough guy and a decent fighter, but I reckon it puts Khan in a lose/lose situation. If he wins, he's expected to and it hasn't proved anything, if he loses, he's finished at the top level.
IMO if Collazo is anywhere near his best, he beats Khan.
A fight against Collazo does nothing for most people, in most situations. From a career perspective, I'd steer clear of that one.
It's a GREAT fight for Collazo though, really.

I think Khan and GBP overrate Khan
and they think this is a good little warm up for him. In Reality, there aren't many Good Welterweights that Khan can beat!

Why? Perhaps because he ain't good enough to beat the top guys. If that's the case, why should he fight Floyd?
Exactly! Bradley, Thurman, Pacman, Marquez, Brook, Porter, Alexander, Geuerrero would all be very dangerous fights for Khan. If he can fight Collazo, win, and then get the Mayweather fight that is great business for Khan.Quote:

They should throw khan in with porter or guerrero and make a better statement at 147.
Khan is 2-3 fights away from mayweather and needs to fight three times this year.
I don't think Collazo is an easy fight for Khan. Seriously awkward style, tall, long arms and a lot of boxing skill. I can see him countering Khan all night and definitely making a fight of it.
A fight vs Luis Collazo is NOT an easy or a good deal for Khan.
Collazo is a southpaw, he's got a good chin, very solid defense, is equal parts cagey and slick, he's not a guy who is easy to score points on, land cleanly on, or win rounds against. I'm not a Collazo fan, but he's an Upset The Applecart kind of fighter...he damn near (and in most fight fans eyes he did) beat a PRIME Ricky Hatton in Ricky's first jump to 147. Collazo is like Pauli Malinaggi but with more power and he's a bit more durable (no offense to Paulie).
I would like to see Khan-Bradley, that would be a great match IMO. A tough fight, but one where less is at stake for Khan. If you lose to Tim Bradley big deal everyone has lost to him thus far, if you beat him (and do so convincingly) it's a HUGE deal.
