It could be worse you could have Jim Watt.
Gray and Merchant's questions just seemed inappropriate when put to a guy that just went 5-6 tough rounds where his head and stomach were being caved in by murderous shots. These are the times where tough questions just ain't the place...

What Merchant and Gray failed to realize is that these men, especially guys that went over 5-6 rounds, just went through mild to severe trauma. Be tactful, understanding and respectful.
Jim Gray, Jim Watt, Jim Lampley, Jim Jones....I see a pattern :-X
It should only Paulie for Showtime, and Roy Jones on HBO to conduct the post fight interviews. They have a much better perspective than Gray or Merchant, and both are good talkers who'd ask better questions even aside from that.
