See, even gbp knows the main event is so pathetic they just had to make it a triple header..

I don't think it's a shit main event, Shumenov will certainly come to fight, he's pretty good and it's a legit unification. It's probably the best fight at 175 not involving Stevenson or Kovalev.

I guess Porter and Malignaggi knew this was likely? Hope so, given it's just over a month away now, that should be a good fight to.

Hopkins v. Shumenov isn't bad and Porter-Paulie isn't bad. Quillin-Konecy is crap. All in all, decent little card. I'm surprised Paulie took this fight. If he loses, it's a bad loss. I guess if he wins he has as belt.

I dont see paulie winning at all... u need punching power to tame the wild attacks of porter but he has nothing..

Porter-Brooks is the perfect matchup.. eddie Hearn made it clear that Porter is in their sights..

Maybe he just meant "a Porter", perhaps the last guy who carried Brook's suitcase on vacation? That seems to be more the kind of fight Brook is interested in.

This is a good card. All very good quality matches.

Look forward to it. Hopkins and Shumenov is respectable and not sure what you could ask for but a title unification. Paulie v Porter is interesting. Not huge on Paulie but he is on a solid run and Porter isn't exactly hard to miss and is overly wreckless I think. Paulie may not pack bricks but accuracy and ring guile still matter.

Yeah I like the card ;D If Porter displays anything close to the form he showed against Alexander then it's an easy win for him :cool:

Brooks has been waiting 100 years to get his shot, he has fought decent fighters in between and he deserves the shot next.

I knew when Scahefer said Porter-Khan wouldn't happen because Haymon had someone else in mind for Porter that he'd be fighting Paulie. I hope Paulie wins this because the guy tells it like it is and his commentary proves he knows the game well. I'd be happy if he got one last run at the money, not many would be able to make the most of limited power like he has.

Hes been given plenty of shots and keeps turning them down. THe fighters he has been beating does not give him much of a right for a title shot. You should have to beat a genuine top 20 fighter to get a title shot which Kell hasnt done.

Does Brook make decent money fighting at home? That's the only way I can understand what he's doing career wise, he has been treading water for years now despite having a lot of talent and skills. Aside from the first Carson Jones(who is actually pretty good) fight, has he struggled seriously against anyone he's fought? Don't understand the hold up either way, he'd have a great chance to beat just about anyone aside from Floyd or Manny, and makes no effort to pursue the fights.

He gets paid ok. Also has a decent sponsorship deal with betfair. I just get the feeling that hes waiting for a weak beltholder to come along. He didnt fancy his chances v Alexander so avoided him until something he thinks is easier comes along. The winner of Porter v Paulie is probably that.
