Canelo Wants To Fight July 26th!! Who Should/Could It Be?
Reports is out that Canelo wants to fight July 26th on Showtime. That's the same day a potential JccJr vs GGG PPV fight on HBO.
As a fan AND as a manager, who should/could Canelo fight that would sell as a PPV opponent against a same day HBO PPV event?

Molina-IBF Champ(visa problems)
Anthony Mundine vs Clottey winner(fighting April 9th)
Peter Quillin-WBO middleweight Champ(fighting (April 19th)
Keith Thurman(fight Juilo Diaz April 26th)fought Quintana at 154-TKO4)
Demetrius Andrade(WBO champ)

Lara, no one else at 154 right now, unless Kirkland decides to come to life and that's pretty pointless now

I'd like to see him fight Lara, but since that's off the table with Lara already fighting in May, how about James Kirkland? What a brawl that would be.

I think Kirkland would be stopped very early v Canelo. I know these fights are unlikely but Id like to see him v eiher of the Charlos or Rabchenko.

I think it will be a slouch. Imo they are targeting the winner of Cotto/Martinez to suck that padded tit completely dry.
They are not going to fight Lara next. I'm certain they will never fight him. I find it hard to keep a straight face as they are under the same promotional banner.
Molina does not have simple visa problems. He neglected to report that he was a diddler(sex offender). They could do it in Mexico I suppose.
He's also got warrants for other domestic issues in Wisconsin.
Mundine or Clottey? No comment
Quillin. Kid Ovaltine wont even fight a threat presently and its does not make any economic sense for either padded career but I do see the reasoning at trying a fight at 160.
Thurman. I wish. But again based on the market and practices of today this would be a pipe dream of a "comeback" fight.
Andrade. Cant see it. Might as well fight a no name for the same cash. Sad but true.
I hope he grows a set like Stevens did and fights some undefeated guy that has some goods instead of some no hoper.

Well if Showtime want to compete with HBO hopefully they'll make Canelo fight a decent contender. I'm not holding my breath though. I still think its mad how every fight Canelo has this year is down to be PPV.

Yea it's criminal but GBP made it clear that canelo will fight 3x this year and all of them will be PPVs..

what happened to fighting the winner of Cotto vs. Martinez? I'm glad to see Clottey coming back. I always wanted to see him at his best versus Mayweather actually.

I think if Cotto want a Mayweather rematch, should he win we could see Mayweather vs Cotto 2. That would be for the most money against any fighter. Should Martinez win, I think Canelo can get that fight. Winning would be a different story against Martinez.
I always like Clottey too. Can we throw Clottey in the mix now?
