Well the thing that Cain has going for him is he's a freak athlete who picks up things VERY quickly, and his cardio is insane even by athlete standards.
That's not his sport though. He's a wrestler first and foremost.
He is the baddest man on the planet right now though. In a REAL fight, he would kill any boxer.
I'm sure can be WBU or WBB champion. That's about it

Cain could become a fringe contender in much the same way Deontay Wilder has.
Does the guy have power? Sure
Does he know how to throw punches? For an MMA guy yeah
Is he in good shape? Yeah
Now for the stuff he would have to worry about: chin, strategy, and technique

Fair enough. He has beaten some bums. And his last opponent took a dive in my opinion.
Cain being at around 30 years old plus he is a smaller heavyweight so at this point it would not look favorable for him to do any better than Seth Mitchell. I do agree he may beat Mitchell because of that chinniness of Seth but Cain's career in boxing at this point would probably look similar to Seth's. Then you have to factor in the boxing of MMA is(and has to be) taught quite different in a technical aspect so those teachings would have to be undone like a bad habit is. Cain is an exceptional physical and mental type of athlete but its too late for him to be formidable in boxing.Quote:
