Johnathon Banks: Has he given up fighting for good?
It seems so. Seems as if he will never lace them up again and has chosen to stay in the training role.
Good for him, but was it too early for him to do so?
I feel he could have come back at Cruiser or LH and give Kovalev/Stevenson and the rest a run for their money FOR the money.
But, Steward must have seen something in him to make him want to pick him, at such a young age, to be a trainer over a legit fighter.
Re: Johnathon Banks: Has he given up fighting for good?
He should hang em up and stick to training.
Re: Johnathon Banks: Has he given up fighting for good?
Better for his health to stick to training really...probably better for his wallet as well.

Also our eyes...
Re: Johnathon Banks: Has he given up fighting for good?
Was Banks so bad in his last fight that he had to retire?
He should continue to make some pocket money since he is in the gym training fighters.

Why would he deliberately lose when he beat him the first time. Banks lost to the better fighter. He can train fighters afterwards, you only can fight for a limited time.

He would get Mitchell hurt the second fight then never attempt to finish him. It was bizarre.
These people forget that boxing is some times crooked... if you got paid more money to throw a fight, then why not do it?
Banks obviously tanked in the second Mitchell fight. It was obvious.
Re: Johnathon Banks: Has he given up fighting for good?
Looks like he is fighting Antonio Tarver Sept. 19 ???
He def played along with Seth. I really thought it was because they were trying to line Mitchell up as poss Wlad opponent , but maybe I'm too skeptical :scratchchin:
Re: Johnathon Banks: Has he given up fighting for good?
i believe that there are certain fighters who dont really deserve a thread made about them and jonathon banks is one of them. honestly, do we really care if he quits? is boxing going to be in worse shape? does he really bring anything to the table?
i might as well start a thread asking if carlos maussa has given up for good. nobody cares.
Re: Johnathon Banks: Has he given up fighting for good?
What incentive even was there for winning against Mitchell?
Fighting his own fighter eventually?;D
As above, being sceptical, I wonder if its a ploy to create a name opponent for Wlad?
Re: Johnathon Banks: Has he given up fighting for good?
You are making conspiracy when there is none. If Banks wanted to make Seth a name he would never have lost to him in the first place and if he wanted to make Seth even bigger threat he would have lost himself by KO.
